Soccer Preview - 7th February ‘17
It’s just the Premiership in action this week and there are a couple of massive matches tonight and tomorrow. With the league so tight from 7th to 16th and these teams being really close to falling into the relegation battle, these teams are desperate for points and this lines up some really good games. The title race is so close between Unios and City and both teams need to win to keep themselves in it. One slip-up could prove costly as the usual two fight it out at the top.
Kasa travel to Kellinae tonight as both teams look to get a win to help them get away from relegation.This was a 1-0 win for Kasa back in November.
Struggling Nova Scotia host a Quebec side which is gaining in confidence every week. Nova desperately need the points to get closer to being out of relegation. Quebec need the points to help their qualification bid for the Champions League. This was a 1-0 to Quebec SC in November.
Mid-table sides Ærita City and Ottawa play in Ottawa tonight. Both teams need the points to push upwards and try to catch up with the runaway top 6 and also keep themselves away from the bottom 3. This was a rare win for Ottawa in November which was a 1-0 score to the away side.
Struggling Toronto ASC host 2nd top Soh City tonight. Toronto need the points as they hover just above the relegation playoff spot. Soh City need the points as they look to keep pace and possibly overtake fierce rivals Soh Unios at the top of the Premiership. This was a 3-0 win for City in November.
Toronto SC host an Ærita United side which is looking to solidify their position in the top 4 with a win. Toronto SC are looking to keep themselves away from relegation. This was a 2-1 win for Ærita United last time.
Montreal Impact travel to fellow mid-table side Alaska Eagles tomorrow. With the teams being so close to dropping out of the challenge for possible continental spots this game could be crucial for both of them. This was a 1-0 win for Montreal in November.
Bottom of the table Berikitas look to gain some points as they have a large gap to cut to save themselves from relegation. They hope to start this revival against 7th place Ki Roh, who do not want to give up their fragile spot and they have ambitions of top 6 but need to start a long winning run. This was a 2-0 win for Ki Roh in November.
Joint-Leaders Soh Unios host a very strong Tellingham United side who are looking to bounce back from a 3-0 loss to Quebec. Soh Unios look to try and get clear of City. Unios lost their 3 point lead at the top the last time these two sides met in November, which was a 2-1 win for Tellingham United.
Kel travel to Vancouver ASC on Wednesday night. This fixture is one of the quieter ones this round though Vancouver could do with the points to just keep them safe for now. This was a 2-0 win for Kel in November.
Vancouver SC host a strong Hawks side which is looking to keep their top 4 spot with a win. Vancouver aare looking to push on from their dismal 16th place and steer themselves away from a releation fight.
