oooh these are all so cute,,, can you do 95 with midorio? im love them,,,,,

send me a sentence!
Izuku could have died as he sat there, eyes glued to the tv in his mother’s living room.
She had called him in from the kitchen, pulling him away from the dirty dishes of their lunch together. Her voice was frantic, though he couldn’t really make out any of the words she was saying until he got a bit closer, managing only to catch “-Io!”
Instantly, Izuku’s heart was in his throat as he figured out why his mother had sounded so concerned, swallowing hard as he watched the familiar light blue and yellow hero suit, torn in some places, flying around the screen as the wearer dodged (and recieved) some terrible blows from the villains she was up against.
“Is that Io, sweetheart?!” Inko asked, worry dripping from her words as they saw wild, honey-blonde hair come loose from the bun atop the fighting hero’s head. Yeah. Yeah that was definitely Io.
HIS Io.
‘Young hero Rubber Maid, the shock-absorption hero, is doing a fantastic job keeping these villains at bay, but relief is slow to come! With all the civilians and destruction around, it’s been difficult for any other heroic personnel to make it onto the scene. Hopefully this newcomer can keep this up until help arrives.’ the news reported commented in the background, but it all sounded fuzzy to Izuku. If no one else could get through, how could he expect to?
Inko grabbed onto her son’s hand, refusing to look away even as the rather small girl was smashed into the asphalt of the city street, sending clouds of dust across the view of the camera. Izuku flinched involuntarily, releasing his mother’s hand as he made his way out the door,
“I-I’m gonna head over there! See what i can do!” he called as he slipped into his shoes and all but bolted from the house.
Now, it wasn’t that Izuku didn’t think his girlfriend could handle herself. Quite the opposite, actually; with a quirk like Io’s, izuku was genuinely very confident that she could kick as much ass as she needed to and still be perfectly fine.
That didn’t mean he wanted her in harm’s way all the time. Sure, her quirk was shock absorption and redirection, but it was not nullification.
If she got TOO hurt: if a villain landed one too many good blows, or even just one REALLY big one (much like her being thrashed into the concrete moments before), it could be really, REALLY bad.
Izuku had only seen Io get really hurt once: during the USJ incident. Io had lost a lot in her lifetime, and that meant she was ready to do absolutely anything necessary in order to not lose anything else. During USJ, she nearly killed herself to make sure that all of her friends were alright - when she couldn’t find Iida because he was getting help, she nearly went berserk.
Seeing the girl he loved..the girl who was someone so happy and warm and bright despite all she’d been through..the girl who would readily die for someone she cared about..seeing her in that hospital bed had nearly killed Izuku back then, and he could still remember SO clearly what she had said to him when he thought he was unconscious:
“You’re cute when you’re all worried.” the freckle-faced girl had said softly, a gentle smile on her face as she tried sitting up, but the boy was quick to hold her down (gently, of course).
The relief he felt when she spoke to him was overwhelming, but her words were absolutely infuriating: “C-Cute?! You could have died! You could have died and then what?! What would I have done then?!” He had shouted at her, tears rolling down his face. But she only laughed and wiped them away.
“I didn’t die, though, Izuku. I’m fine, save for a few scars. We’re gonna be heroes, remember? This comes with the job.”
‘Comes with the job’ He thought bitterly now as he pushed through throngs of nosy civilians and press. Was he a hypocrite? Yeah, absolutely. Did he care right now? Nope. He could see police lights ahead, that must mean support arrived before he did. “Oh thank god..” he muttered to himself, eventually managing to escape the mass of onlookers. They weren’t fighting anymore, which was good. But Izuku couldn’t see any hint of yellow anywhere, even despite all the dust settling, which was most decidedly NOT good.
‘No. no no no oh no oh no oh shit oh no’
His inner monologue was just a string of terrified swears and ‘no’s as his panic peaked and he was left, paramedics and police officers, detectives and firemen all swarming around the scene like worker bees as the other pro hero called out for the love of his life.
“You’re cute when you’re all worried, Izuku.” the familiar voice drifted over from somewhere behind him, making him whip around in search of the source. Instantly his eyes met hers and he surged forward, scooping her into his strong arms.
She gave a little yelp of pain, which instantly got her feet back on the ground and Izuku frantically looking over her to see what was wrong. “Two broken ribs and a dislocated shoulder.” she explained simply, motioning to the sling around her right arm “so be gentle.”
Izuku nodded slightly, sighing deeply as he brought a hand to the back of her neck and rested his forehead against hers “I know it comes with the job, and I know I shouldn’t worry, but you’re killin’ me.” he whispered with a little chuckle as she stretched to peck his lips
“Yeah well now you know how I feel.”
