Eliza May is a DJ and Producer based in Los Angles whose sound is a mashup of R&B, Hip-Hop, EDM, and Pop music. She has managed to gain an international audience, playing shows all across the globe, from LA to NYC, and France to Russia – her homeland. Eliza’s incredible DJing and production skills can be credited to her musical background as a classically trained pianist, as well as her mentors DJ Qbert and DJ I-Dee.

Her story is not like any other you’ve heard. She started playing and writing music after her sister was killed and when she started to spend lots of time in the hospital due to her own health issues. “I was one of the youngest students in music school and my parents chose piano as my main instrument,” she shares. “I was at music school for eight years and although I finished it with merit, I never really enjoyed it. It required a lot of work, practice and missing out on fun times with friends.”

She found that being a DJ was her passion and she eventually moved to Los Angeles, where she DJ’s at clubs all over the city. 

Her new single “Midnight Love” is an EDM meets pop style song that you would hear on the radio in the car. It’s gripping and moving, both musically and lyrically. She was inspired by the pandemic and how her love life became something she focused on a little more closely. She realized she wanted something more. 

“I produced ‘Midnight Love’ in the beginning of the pandemic,” she says. “I felt sad, lost and lonely, nothing felt right including my love life. Sometimes I felt numb both physically and mentally. All I really wanted was to feel loved but at that time I didn’t realize that love comes from within.”
