Midnight is a male mackerel tabby/persian cross with blue/violet eyes. Around his neck he wears a necklace he received as a gift from Astral, with the pendant in the shape of a moon. He is mostly independent from his family, before and after the Fall. He spent most of his kitten life with his mother, Star, away from his father, Moonlight. His mother always told him and his brother, Sunshadow that their father was on business trips, or even adventuring. He always visited from time to time, but was mostly solitary himself. Star told him many stories about his father, and both of their families and ancestors, teaching him to hunt and survive, many of which Midnight passed on to his friends. Moonlight stayed around his mother much more after Star gave birth to a new litter, naming their kits Lunaray, Starshine, Sundown and Solarstrike (what a theme), but by this point Midnight and Sunshadow were much more independant. After the Fall, Midnight spends much of his time before finding Astral, trying to find any trace of his family, in the hope that they escaped. Astral is his best friend, ever since he taught her how to hunt the day (or more accurately, night) they really talked. He tells her, Viridion and Waterfall all the stories about his ancestors his mother told him. He always wants to encourage Viridion to be louder, but they get along well. He also does this with Waterfall, who is much less happy to be bothered by him. Nonetheless, theyβre still good friends, and Midnight is happy be serious, or even quiet at his request.
Overall, much like Astral, heβs very optimistic, but much less trusting of strangers than Astral, being very cautious of helping out at the camp.
