Attention: All Starfleet Officers, Family, and Friends conversing with Voyager Crew
Hello, Reg Barclay here. As you all have been told, this communication with the USS Voyager will be, uh, a little different than normal.Â
It will be our first, um, attempt at having âconversationsâ with the crew.Â
I have prepared a list of guidelines, if you will, for those of us here in the Alpha Quadrant communicating with Voyager.Â
Communication will open up in just over 5 hours and will be available for 72 hours after that.Â
Conversation letters must be brief and may not contain any attachments. We are expecting a turn around of approximately 3 hours from the time a letter is sent until the time a response is received from Voyager.Â
We have assigned a large number of the Pathfinder staff to assist with our end of the communication; however, Voyager has limited resources and personnel. They will do their best to keep the conversations going smoothly, but please be patient with them.Â
I-Iâm very excited to attempt this new form of conversation with our beloved Voyager crew. Please, if anyone has any questions, donât hesitate to ask.Â
Well, good luck to each of you and... happy chatting!Â

Son and Daughter,Â
Your mother has been in bed for a few hours and Iâm finishing some work at my desk, so you get me this time. I have instructions from my wife to ask questions in this letter, and I will do my best to follow her orders.Â
I know Julia already said it, but congratulations to both of you. We were very pleased to hear that youâve successfully married each other, despite there being some difficulties. I assume you found a Delta Quadrant anomaly to throw a wrench in your original nuptials? No matter, as long as the deed got done. Iâd imagine Kathryn did a fine job conducting it. Iâm proud that my son is the 12th member of our Paris family line to be married while in Starfleet.Â
We had quite the extravaganza here in your honor. Iâve been told to send a picture taken from inside the tent.Â
Your mother researched Klingon weddings and decided to decorate with red. Based on the picture you sent of the beautiful bride in her red dress, Julia chose well. We had several hundred guests, I believe my lovely wife invited half the quadrant to our back yard. Iâll admit it was good to meet the families of some of the people you are serving with. Did the entire Voyager crew attend your reception?Â
For my last words, Iâd like to speak only to Tom. Son, now that youâre married, I hope you remember the advice I gave you several months ago and honor your wife like you promised in your vows.Â
We love you and expect more details, -Dad and MomÂ

Attention: All Starfleet Officers, Family, and Friends Communicating with Voyager Crew
Hello everyone! Itâs Reg Barclay again. Iâm here to remind you that the uh, data stream for this month is currently open.Â
We have already received some communications from Voyager, and, excellent news! It appears as though our brilliant friends have managed to send photos back to us in the, um, the conversation posts!Â
Enjoy your communications!Â

From: Lt. Jenn Andrews (neĂŠ Lang)
Sorry about the glitch earlier. I dropped chewing gum on my padd and it sent early.
It's so good to hear from you! As you can probably see, I joined Starfleet and got married. A lot has happened since you left.
Mom and Dad had a small crisis when you disappeared, so they sent me to the Academy to help with the search. I met my husband Jake there, and we've been married for two years. No nieces or nephews for you to spoil yet, but I'll keep you updated.
What's the craziest thing to happen to you on that ship?
Love, Jenn
