PSA for Computer Geeks Not otome-related in any way, shape, or form
I can’t believe they renamed Superfetch into SysMain.
So if you like a fast booting computer (like I do), and always checked to make sure Superfetch stayed disabled after updates, and thought it was disabled, but your boot times went up before Christmas - yeah. The big October 2018 update renamed the file, effectively turning Superfetch back on without alerting the people prone to turning it off.
I’m not saying Superfetch / SysMain isn’t useful for some people. I’m not saying everyone should tinker with their PC or laptop. But I’m grumpy because, once again, stupid (or very smart) Microsoft decided to try to bury something without notice or choice.
Rant over. SysMain disabled. Boot times back to normal.
