Aliexpress - 1.8 Inch Micro Sata HDD SSD 3.3V to 2.5 Inch 22PIN SATA 5V Adapter
I’ve ordered this adapter from a store called eGizmo from Aliexpress. The product arrived to Finland in a week. Very fast processing time and delivery!
It’s also in a perfect condition. Just plug and play :)
Now, why I ordered something like this ? Well, I just happen to have a bit useless old tower case, which has has some very cheap motherboard(also ordered from Aliexpress), some old power unit and 4 Gigs of ram. Just one HDD short. Which, luckily, I’ve finally found, but it was just in a shape of a 1.8 Inch HDD. Now, that doesn’t do at all, as my power unit doesn’t have suitable power plugs for it.
Luckily, for me, there is this place called China and a cheap adapter heaven called Aliexpress, or should I say hell? As there are so many different kinds of adapters, so it really takes a while to find the correct one. Oh well, as they say, perseverance is the key.
Now my computer is up and running and, well, I just would need to figure out what to do with it. I’m thinking of installing Lubuntu on it, as it’s nice and light OS. Although, I’m quite curious of the Qubes OS also, although I have no idea, if it’s a lightweight OS or not ? Let’s see, I’ll make that decision later, after some studying.
To conclude this rambling, I’m giving 10/10 to eGizmo for their excellent product and service.
