Recently I have been interested in boosting my productivity rate. I was always one who rejected to-do lists and what not. However I find myself having a change of heart as it seems to make me feel more fulfilled to see what I've accomplished and to fill time so I have worry free relaxation time. All the forgotten tasks that I haven't done in my free time and cram in later are no longer forgotten. I even wish to pursue things such as lucid dreaming so I can use my sleep as time to be creative with knowledge that is only learnable when awake.
It amazes me how I will be doing something and suddenly remember another thing I want to accomplish. Instead of forgetting those things when I have time to work on them I have it with me in to-do form. Here is a great reference for to-do managers and finding which is best for you: Five Best To-Do List Managers via:LifeHacker
Timers are helpful for dash things where I work for 10 minutes on a project that would otherwise take me hours to do in one day now spread out. I feel good about accomplishing part of it and it relieves my stress.
I am also trying to manage mini pockets of time in my day. See: Microproductivity via:LifeHacker. As a student I have 30 sec here or ther between classes, after short quizzes, and elsewhere. Carrying around one thing to do durring these times helps get things done easily. Instead of just sitting there not doing anything because you don't have enough time to do your math assignment, how bout doing one math problem or the first step to that problem? Its a doable goal that when done through out the day adds up.
