I just love these micro dice so much...
January 6, 2020: 7 Test runs of Micro Dice and New Lamp So, these were good runs. The longer they sat on the light the more bleached they were, but also more guaranteed that they were totally cured. I determined that placing the mold *on* the lamp was a bad thing. I didn't realize that the bottom had different depths of silicone over the various cavities. So more light was getting through on some than others, specifically the D20 and the D12. So they were going to bleach no matter what I did. In the next video, I hang the light up and put the mold 4-12 inches under it. And it works much better, Hopefully, I'll have that up in a couple of days. :) #uvdice #uvmicrodice #microdice #5mmdice #tinydice #supertinydice #teenytinydice #dice #uvresin #uvresincrafts #uvresindice #uvresinmicrodice #dice #handmadedice #resindice #resincrafts #dicemaking #resin https://www.instagram.com/p/B7ABVl6h6ox/?igshid=i8zc1yewcf9g

January 3, 3020: First Pull From the Micro Smoosh Mold Well, it proved to work! But it was horribly bubbly because of how I lit it up. I’m using a giant UV flashlight, and I just set it right on top of the mold. But because the mold itself is soft, the flashlight wobbled until I was able to brace it. That made lots of bubbles and those wiggly lines around the sides. I got that once before in the Sophie and Toffee molds when I tried to jiggle out a few bubbles with the lid. Made for some interesting looking dice, that’s for sure. Anyway, just look at that color, though! So pretty! The colorant didn’t want to mix into the UV resin very well. But we got it going! I was kind of surprised by that. It’s labeled the same as one of the UV resins, so I figured it would mix well. We’ll figure it out. #uvdice #uvmicrodice #microdice #5mmdice #tinydice #supertinydice #teenytinydice #dice #uvresin #uvresincrafts #uvresindice #uvresinmicrodice https://www.instagram.com/p/B63IaF8BEoQ/?igshid=korosfa45l1k

Well, these came out well! It was a spur of the moment thing! Just sitting here thinking about getting a precision tip bottle off amazon, but I didn’t want a big one. Then remembered I have a bunch of them to sell nail oils in!! Yay! And it seems to have worked pretty well! Next is colored. Andy can use the bottles to color small amounts of resin as well. But I’m going to wait until I have my lamps. Using the giant flashlight is taking to many batteries and it’s a lower wattage than I want. 😊 Lights should be here Friday. Probably Saturday. #uvdice #uvmicrodice #microdice #5mmdice #tinydice #supertinydice #teenytinydice #dice #uvresin #uvresincrafts #uvresindice #uvresinmicrodice https://www.instagram.com/p/B6zhVA7nX0o/?igshid=znffdhbq7tnh
