Thought about the fact that Micolash and Gehrman are a bit like two sides of the same coin Gehrman is trapped against his own will, in a dream that's really a nightmare. He denies his own insanity, and desires to free the others from that nightmare. Micolash is trapped willingly, in a nightmare that he calls a dream, he relishes in his own insanity, embraces it and wields it against you. He wants others to see what he sees in the magnificent dream of his. They're also both ugly crusty old men that worked for Laurence.
