I know it's been a while since I've actually seen and talked to you, Mickey. And that makes me sad. I always enjoyed seeing you last year in the mornings and if I didn't see you for a few days, I always asked Christina how you were doing. Today is your birthday, and you're still beautiful. You are beautiful, and you will always be beautiful. I know how hard it is to see that about yourself, I've been here and I live through each and every day trying to see the good things about the way I look and I don't always succeed. But that doesn't mean others don't see it. You have such a good heart and you are such a kind person, and I absolutely love you to death and it hurts my heart that someone as wonderful as you doesn't know how wonderful you are. You are not gross, you are not selfish. It is not bad to want nice things for yourself. You are as far away from ugly as one could possibly be. Today you're 16, and 16 is one of those years where it's a weird middle period. You're on the older half of being a teenager, but you're still so young, and literally no one takes you seriously and it makes it so much harder to take yourself seriously and to like yourself, but I'm here to tell you that there will always be others there who will love you enough to make up for the love you don't give yourself. I am one of those people and I want you to know that. Life is vicious, and it can throw some mean punches, but the love from those around you can soften the blows and heal you so quickly. You're so beautiful, both inside and out, and I hope one day you are able to really realize it and feel it. Until then (and even after) I'll be here to remind you and tell you along the way whenever you forget it, okay?

sorry, but I’m extremely self conscious about it. Either I’m editing the grammar for the 1,000th time because I feel it’s inadequate— or I completely alter full sections of the plot and setting which then requires large-scale editing— or I can’t muster up the patience/attention span to sit down and write at all.

It’s been a long-winded, lengthy venture with these edits— but I like to think that my story is (very slowly) getting fine-tuned into something I’m much more proud of and happy to share with others.

If it helps, I did recently work up the courage to start posting it again. I’ve chosen to only post passages on Weasyl in the meantime, just to keep things simple. The passages aren’t super long right now, but eh it’s something?? There are two right now and I’m nearly finished editing a third.

omg i might still do female notepad!! i do still like that design and i have a few ideas for it that i’d really like to do (plus shes so fuckin cute omg)
