We had to wake up early to leave at like 7;30am or something which was rough. We met our guide Mikalov who drove us the 2hrs to the national park while telling us some Croatian history and so on. We drove through a town that was semi-repaired since the wars in the early 90s. Was pretty chilling looking at normal houses next to half destroyed bullet-hole ridden ones. Unfortunately I couldn't get any photos as we just drove past :(

The park was gawd dang beautiful. Perfectly clear, beautifully blue water. Lush green forest, waterfalls. The works.

We spent the day just walking round admiring the scenery and talking shit with our group. (The funniest group of people oh man). Then we went to a freezing cold river a couple of km's down from the Plitvice lakes. Still amazingly clear but so damn cold only a couple of us swam.

Our bus went and got a Croatian feast on the way home consisting of assorted simple salads and delicious whole lamb off the spit. So good. We returned to the hostel pretty late after a full day of trekking around the Plitvice national park. Printed off our Dimensions tickets and then I went with the tour group to a local brewery/pub (Dan stayed at hostel). All the beer they had on tap there was brewed by them, Mostly really nice dark ales, muy bueno.

After the pub closed we got a 'take away' box of their beers and went and got rowdy in a park haha.

Had an awesome day and big thanks to Mikalov and tha cru. Got to bed a bit late/drunk considering we had to get up at 6 (again) to make it to Pula for Dimensions but s'all good.
