Growing up, JODIE was always exposed to the sways of music that surrounded the 4 walls of his home. His pastor also contributed to his musical upbringings by stopping by often to teach him how to play the piano.

As 10th grade approached, JODIE JO’ transitioned with his musicianship, and fell in love with the mic. JODIE JO’ then worked consecutively on high-ranking tracks from a phone app (to eventually his own home studio).

Through his music, JODIE JO’ hopes to touch the lives of others with his talent. He wants his fans to know who he truly is while also conveying his achievements to himself. “Being yourself is the best” JODIE JO goes on to say “and so is believing in yourself”.

Subsequently, the artists that influence JODIE JO’ are: his father, brother, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, Kirk Franklin, Al Green, Mick Jenkins, Kendrick Lamar, The Jackson 5, himself and J.Cole.

In 5 years JODIE JO’ sees himself signed to Dreamville, touring across the globe doing shows and interviews, giving back to those in need and also supporting and marrying his girlfriend.

As for upcoming projects, one should be on the lookout June 6th 2018 for JODIE JO’s self produced and written project, “Big Ups 2 Tha’ Big Homie".

“Making music is a form of self expression and a way of watching my mindset grow as years go by,” JODIE JO proclaims “When I look back on old songs I see how far I’ve come and what the mind is capable of.”
