Just wanted to let you know that I’m in love your c!Michael McChill appreciation posts, and they singlehandedly made him one of my favorite characters. :D I just wanted to know if his earlier streams from last year where he immediately tried to break c!Dream out of prison and got in trouble with c!Same are still canon or if they’ve been retconned. I’ve seen some conflicting information. 1/2

BUT THAT IS THE QUESTION!! and I'm pretty it's been half retconed because in I think his second lore stream (not the radio broadcasts, I checked those for this quote 😭😭) he says something along the lines of how the warden freaked out at him for just checking the prison out, which to me implies that he went to the prison without the influence of c!dream asking him too.
Another thing is he mentions to c!sapnap that he's never met the guy, a theme that's been reiterated multiple times 🤔🤔. And I don't think this is a c!Punz situation where he's just keeping face, because even in moments like his first live lore stream, he repeats the same talking points from his broadcast— even when he's talking to himself. He mentions multiple times that he doesn't have friends and he's been living in isolation so I don't think he's working with c!Dream in any capacity.
But tbf, I only remember him saying the thing about checking out the prison, I don't have a timestamp or anything. I could have Mandela-ed myself into thinking it was real even when it's not. (I may hunt down the stream some time to see if I can find the quote!! Just another excuse to rewatch the stream tbh >:D)
TLDR: To the best of my knowledge, it's canon that he went to the prison, and even tried to break in, but he went there without the request of c!dream and he still hasn't met c!dream directly. C!Sam's reactions is one of the reasons he has distanced himself from the Greater SMP and L'manberg
