Charlie Chaplin's son Michael (1946), he appeared alongside his father in "A King in New York" 1957. The film would not be released in America till 1972.
Pictured 10 year old Michael with his father promoting the film in Paris. During this period Charlie Chaplin and his family resided in Switzerland.
Speaking of the 1977 passing of his father Charlie Chaplin:
“The last years of his life he very much withdrew into himself, it was very hard for my mother, she had a very hard time looking after a man who had been so vital and such a strong prescence suddenly really vanishing away but he seemed to be very much at peace with himself. He kind of slowly, slowly drifted away and his death was just at the end of a very slow drifting away.”
New photos of Johnny, yesterday (October 14), with Michael Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s son, in Plan-De-La-Tour, France.
As we know, Johnny is a huge fan of Charlie Chaplin. Maybe it was just a friendly visit, or maybe the beginning of something for the future... Let’s stay tuned.
