Some mica cap (𝘊𝘰𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴 𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘶𝘴) mushroom clumps at the base of a tree in SCP. I think. Don't really know. I'm no mushroom expert. I do know Ostrom Mushroom Farms has fine fresh products, and I've always preferred the salt content of Pennsylvania Dutchman canned mushrooms, which is balanced in such a way that it not only gives a decent flavor, but it firms the mushrooms to just the right consistency, no overly firm edges, and nothing give to mushy. However, you can't get them in the stores in Alaska. Although Giorgio, allegedly America's favorite mushroom (TM), is available, and they have the same parent company, they come from different mushroom farms, and probably a slightly different growing tradition, so the flavors 𝘢𝘳𝘦 different... Plus, owing either to the machinery or to the care in the use thereof, the sliced mushrooms from Pennsylvania Dutchman are much more uniform, with very few cross-cuts, just a higher quality of product, really. Seems like they care or take pride in their image. In any case, I would not recommend eating the mushrooms you find in the wild without expert experience being your harvest. Fortunately, there are several mushroom classes available locally each year. #micacaps #𝘊𝘰𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘮𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘶𝘴 #soldotnaalaska #soldotnacreekpark #mushrooms #pennsylvaniadutchmanmushrooms #ostrommushroomfarms #sonydschx400v #SonyCameras #sonydsc #giorgiomushrooms (at Soldotna Creek Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/CRjiErKhkQJ/?utm_medium=tumblr
