do you think was possible for the Foxes to have come together without Seth dying? he was singled out as the largest source of conflict so many times that i don't know what it would have taken to keep him alive and still have the Foxes band together like they did. would Neil have still been able to bridge the gap between the upperclassmen and the monsters? would Neil has something out between him and Seth to have made him worth more to Neil? what are your thoughts?
You asked for my thoughts, and, oh, there are so many of them. So, so many. This has absolutely no logical structure, either. Let’s start here.
This is such a loaded question, isn’t it? I wouldn’t want to say that Seth’s death was necessary, because that’s just such a terrible thing to think. However, I do think it would have definitely been harder for the team to come together without his death. The following are some reasons I can think of that Seth’s death helped bring the team together:
God, The Lotus in Paradise was everything that I've been hoping for from the sequel. Just read the first part straight in two hours, and will most likely be re-reading it several times. I'm so looking forward to the second part!
I’m both excited for and dreading part 2 lol. I will need to outline it first... didn’t bother outlining part 1, but same as with Dragon Gate, part 2 is where things really ramp up. :3

G: Your favorite battery?
miyusawa battery, handily. i love their synergy and fearlessness and general style of continuous attack. they’re both aggressive players by nature and working together has a sort of multiplicative effect on that and i love so much that they get straight up nasty together. it’s a dynamic you don’t quite see with any other battery, i think, and once they’re fully realized they’re going to be unstoppable.
O: What's your favorite friendship from the manga/anime?
i really wish we got to see more of eijun with the akagi bunch, tbh, but i also really love his friendship with kanemaru. like kanemaru is so grudging about it at first, he tells the lit teacher not to lump the baseball team in with that guy, he’s so gleeful about being the first year watchdog and making eijun eat extra, but when eijun’s got the yips and is struggling he’s the one who shows up in full hannibal lecter gear and shouts at him to get his shit together.
V: What's a headcanon that you have?
another one of these, hahah! mmm, let’s see. jun’s taste in shoujo manga runs toward fantasy and supernatural romances, something that is wholly influenced by his sisters.

My angsty pairing for them: mizumachi+kobanzame in the aftermath of the kyoshin v deimon match. also mizumachi loving sport so much that he joined the swim team without actually knowing how to, you know, swim, and then training so diligently he alienated the rest of his teammates with the sheer amount of practice he was doing to sustain his skill, and then joining the american football team against this context of disappointment for the same reasons, but choosing to believe in that shared dream anyway
