Hours later, Ty awoke with a semi-loud thump coming from the restroom. He turned to where Mia was on the bed-couch while trying to rub the tiredness out of his eyes to find she wasn’t there. He started to panic for a moment before attempting to reassure himself - No biggie, she was probably having feminine issues or something, right? That would be really awkward to walk in on.
Might as well check in case she fell. Or in case someone had just broke in. He reluctantly got up and made his way to the bathroom, knocking on the door as he saw the light from the crack under the door.
“Mia? You in there?” he waited half a minute or so for a response. There was none. “Mia? Mia, are you in there?” he rattles the locked doorknob, panic hitting him like a truck. No one could've gotten into the house, the window in the bathroom was too small and there weren't any noises of a break-in, but he also saw a silhouette of something shaped like a body on the floor underneath the locked door.
“Mia?” maybe it was her mother? A friend? Some kind of prank? “Mia-”
“I… I’m okay..” she sounded overwhelmingly exhausted, a small thump proceeding after she responded (maybe she sat down?). He tried again, glad she was responding but now worried about how tired she sounded- it sounded a lot worse than ‘I just woke up to use the restroom’.
“Mia, are you okay? Open the door please-”
“I’m fine, calm down… Just got uh…” she paused “one of those nosebleeds you randomly get. Sorry if I… I worried ya.”
“You’re- fine,” he announced, defeated as he stopped trying to turn the doorknob. “Maybe I can help clean up?”
“No no, it’s fine- I’ll be out in a few,” there was a small noise as the water began running from the sink. It sounded a bit muffled… but it was probably the cause of the door.
“...alright,” he replied reluctantly, “I’ll pause Agents of SHIELD,” he, even more reluctantly, went back to the room where AoS was already paused. Ty sat back down and waited in worry.
