Let's say you take a break from our day
And gettin' back to the old garage
Because life's too short anyway
But at least it's better then average
As long as you got me
And I got yo, you know we'll got a lot to go around
I'll be your friend, your other brother
Another love to come and comfort you
the days when it was just the four of them and the wide world that was supposed to be discovered, were peaceful, a precious memory he still dwells in at times. yes, life is too short and every single moment dohwan got to live in those old days had formed him in a way. but things won't stay the same, and similarly to the flow of time, humans change, melt and turn into creatures of this cruel world.
[â–ş] BTOB - Friend
Maybe we didn’t realize it
But we’ve gotten more and more close to each other and now we’re grown up
You probably know me better than my family Maybe
You’re my brother from another mother sister from another mister
We’re not blood related but it doesn’t matter
Got each other’s backs no matter what happens...
no matter what happens. that's what he had believed back in the old days, when their friendship was still intact and uncomplicated. when everyone was still just friends, instead of lovers and ex-friends. but in the end everything fades eventually and all that is left to do is, to stare at the shattered bond at their feet, wondering how the time had went by.
[â–ş] Huh Gak - Hello
To @seolhyunmi :
The person that I loved crazily
There’s so much that I didn’t say yet
You’re the person that used to love me
Now I can’t touch you
Suffering to the point of death, to the point of death
Can you see me dying and not alive?
dohwan's first love and his first encounter with real feelings. things had gone well and they were madly in love with each other and dohwan had felt like a human again, until the day where their relationship changed. seolhyun was targeted by hydrus. being in love with the enemy was unforgiveable, so he broke all ties to her, and left behind the feelings that showed him a different side of the emotionless and stoic man. with the the lost love, most of the human within him died.
[â–ş] SHAUN - Way Back Home
To @mieunmi:
I'll never leave your side
You will never be alone
Even when we go through changes
Even when we're old
Remember that I told you
I'll find my way back home
the last one standing from his old friends is eunmi, the one he had known for the longest. his loyalty towards her arises from his wish to keep at least a part of his part alive. eunmi is the only one who still remembers how who he had been and in hope to keep those memories from vanishing into oblivion, he returns to her, keeps staying at her side, even when both of them had changed.
[â–ş] Jay Park - Legacy
To @seungjinmi:
Small-minded petty shit
Somethin' we don’t entertain'
We do somethin' lame
Live and learn
I'm slipping, I'm falling, I can't get up
I know you’ll catch me, support me and help me get up
Yeah this bullshit’s whatever, I'll show nothin’ but love
when things were still good between them, they were the ultimate homies. seungjin and dohwan hung around each other day and night, there was nobody who could separate them and keep them from doing their thing. they could rely on each other, were like brothers and their trust was unbreakable until the day seungjin changed and shoke the bond between the four of them.

There is nothing around him. Just pure darkness. No ground, no sky. No air to breath. His parents had turned themselves away from thim, the failure, a kind and gentle kid, sweet and pure. No matter how hard he was running after them, he couldn't reach them, get themselves out of the dark. Only a green snake around his throat spoke to him, revealed him the way out. There was a path for the lost boy. Hydrus.
[â–ş] A False Freedom
His life was Hydrus property and Hydrus property alone. GRIM was living as Woo Dohwan among civlians, lead a life of business with connections all over Myeongcho and South Korea. There was nothing that could be missed, he was given what was needed to success and was given the choice to surround himself with those he wanted to. He was a free man and yet the green snake kept on lingering in the back of his mind, was an everlasting constant in his life. In the end this was a false freedom.
[â–ş] Not Human
In order to kill one had to become a monster, some creature far beyond of being human. In order to kill one had to let go of human feelings, empathy and love. In order to become GRIM, he had to let go of his past, his forgotten self and dedicate his existence to Hydrus. Just to become not human.
[â–ş] Dark Night
The night was his comrade, his friend and his ally. GRIM felt comfortable at night, as his presence was wrapped in its protective gown. The dark night was like a beast, wild and tame at the same time, something out of control and yet it melt like ice in GRIMs palm, served him well. In the darkness of the night his hunt usually begins and in the darkness of the night gruesome screams are fed to the monster, as he fades into the shadows.
[â–ş] Not Just A Maschine
Being a hitman and a soldier meant to be efficient, to be on standby at any time and ready for combat. Just like a tool, a maschine to be used. But even he, the grim reaper of the biggest gang in Myeongcho, even he made mistakes, did the wrong decisions and returned back with wounds of bared flesh and blood shed that was supposed to be on enemy's sides. Evidently he was not just a maschine.
new moon. 3:24 a.m. myeongcho island. dark back alleys that appeared familiar and unfamiliar to him at the same time. it was a cold winter night, cloudless and freezing. dohwan prowled through the streets, dressed in a black coat, face hidden under a black face mask, a target in front. he watched the stranger from afar, followed him discreetly, as he wrapped himself in the shadows of the night. sparely illuminated house entrances were the only sources of light during those late hours. the target seemed oblivious about dohwan's presence and the jet-black eyes that observed him. this was the moment his parents had him prepared for all his life long. the heart in his chest was strangely calm, when he closed in.
the male cracked his hands wrapped in black leather gloves. he felt the adrenaline rush through his veins, when the target is right in front of him, in grabbing distance. his mind was blank, as he wrapped one arm around the man's neck with a jolt, hand on his lips to shush him. with ease, he pulled him away from the door he was about to disappear behind. dohwan avoided eye contact with his target, while dragging him away from his house. he could feel the heavy breathing of the other on his face, while the other struggled to free himself from dohwan's grip.
4 a.m. fog had spread through the streets, limited the radius of sight even more. night was on his side. when he deemed a blind alley good enough, dohwan let both of his hands slide over the neck of the stranger's man, eye to eye, before he gradually put pressure onto his grip. the victim made gacking sounds, winding and kicking dohwan, as he struggled for life. desperation was reflection in his widened eyes. sweat of fear, pure fear run down his face, as he hit against the merciless arms around his throat. eyes met eyes, discomfort rose within dohwan and he let go. with a loud thud the man fell to the ground, laying to his feet, coughing hard, hands pressing against his throat as he tried to calm down his breathing.
shaking uncontrolled, he pinned down the man who was trying to get away crawling, in panic. there was no way he could have him escaping now. hydrus, his parents were never to forgive him. dohwan pulled out a knife, while the man underneath him shoke his head frantically, the voice mute, not able to escape the ragged up throat, as if he was pleading for his life. dohwan hesitated for a moment, faltered. only if he was to do well, he would be fully accepted as hydrus member. his status as soldier meant nothing to them. only as a hitman his parents knew he would be a useful tool. with force dohwan drove the knife into the man's throat, blood splurted over his arms and hands. hacking hard, he started to vomit blood, a red puddle spread underneath him, hands pressing onto the wound panic-stricken. dohwan stared at the target under him, as the knife fell out of his hand, slipped off terrified.
it was a fight for survival that couldn't be won. trembling he continued watching, not able to divert his eyes from the horrid sight. the target managed to flip himself around, and once again tried to crawl away from the man who had tried to kill him. a trace of blood was dragged behind, him and dohwan realized the situation. he got up and grabbed the target once more, his facial expression distorted, before he began stabbing his heart to finish him off completely. "i'm sorry....." his voice trembled. gargling sounds echoed through the empty streets, before the head nodded to the side and the eyes rolled back. he was dead.
huffing he let go of the dead body. his whole body was trembling in fear. never had he expected for things to be that hard. his eyes wandered around the scene. blood had spread everywhere, tainted himself as well.
a few minutes before 5.a.m. his body turned numb in the cold, as he kept watching the body heat slowly fading away from the victim in front of him. dohwan rose himself, gradually walking further away from the scene of crime. his eyes were dead, all expressions on his face were gone. his father stepped out of the shadows, arms crossed over the chest. "good job. and welcome to hydrus, hitman dohwan."
he walked passed the other hydrus member, stumbled towards his car. when he sat down behind the steering wheel, he leaned against the seat and closed his eyes for a moment. his body was still shaking from the memory of the death battle. hesitantly he lifted his gloved hands, slipped them off, just to notice the dried blood on his fingers that had broke through the material. the feeling in his chest welled up again, and he slammed open the door to let out his stomach contents. when the cramps had died down, dohwan stared at his stained hands one more time. tears slowly started to fall and a silent scream filled the night, the night that gave birth to grim.
