Oh, new outro? and so close to the end? A reader told me that new intros and outros at weird places usually tie in with the movie. Let me watch this to find out.

So unless the next movie is winter sports based i don’t think that is the case this time.

Oh goddammit. I skipped ahead a bit and accidentally landed on the preview. Only at the very beginning though from what it looks like. Is that plotline still a thing? Why? Uuugh....As it stands, i can’t really see myself liking the next episode then. As for this episode:

I really liked this episode.I liked the way they tied in the fight scene, i liked the play, i liked pretty much every individual scene. The only negative would be that the Zakenna is kind of lame. But that is not enough to bring down the score for me! All in all, there actually isn’t much to say here. It was a pretty great stand-alone episode with an engaging civilian plot, and i enjoyed it immensly.

I give this episode 5 Non-Standard Santas that are better than the original our of 5.

....And then you tie the fight perfomance back into the civilian plot. We have come full circle. Why can’t every fight scene be like this one?

He wasn’t moving Benkei. He just stood on a bridge. How about you halt?

I hereby demand that every piece of Evil Honoka fanart retroactively insert the giant mustache. It completes the look.

Okay, to be honest, this is pretty rad. If i saw this at a school production, especially their age, i would be pretty impressed. The fluidity and perfect execution helps too.

This whole scene is incredibly adorably cute. First Honokas attacks, then this.

This is a good episode.

Then again, considering her eating habits, this makes perfect sense.

Nooo, don’t give up! Nagisa may be clumsy, and hard to teach, and kind of an idiot, and forgetful, and...............What i’m trying to say is she always comes through in the end.

Goddammit show! I am already feeling bad! In fact, i may have to take a break again. Since it is not like 1 in the morning this time, i can actually say See You Soon and be reasonably sure that that’s true, so....

Eh, i know why the rest of the class is miffed, (at least thats the way i interpret them being staring at her wordlessly) but i would have welcomed it back in the day. History is great.

Since this is probably going to be an educational episode i won’t actually have that much to say, as usual with these kinda things.

Oh boy. I hope this isn’t getting it’s own episode, because i don’t really know if you can make two school play episodes with the same characters different enough to warrant repeating it.

......A battle? So a battle of war, or a personal two-people battle? Because i don’t think the latter idea has enough material for a play.

That’s fine, really. As long as they don’t stop you from trying. So i guess this play is supposed to be amazing and epic enough to convince your parents you have a shot?

That might work. And even if it doesn’t, it’s a neat enough idea. Go for it!

And them chatting casually on Uraganos’s shoulder is hilarious.

Okay, now this is just awesome. This whole fight scene was much more enjoyable than i had anticipated. Tying the fight performance itself to the civilian plot makes it that much more engaging.

Giant Tengu Zakenna is more intimidating than Tiny Tengu Zakenna, but that’s about it. 6/10.

It’s almost as if you are using the same exact tactics in every single fight.

Also, Tengu-Zakenna? Eh. I do not have any strong feelings either way. 5/10.

Goddamn, he was my least favourite of the evil parents self help group, but he climbed the ranks like crazy in the second half of the show. You’re a treasure, my friend.

The fake mustache makes the whole transformation sequence incredibly silly.

....How.....is that even possible? We had flute lessons in grade school, and i sucked at it, AND i am incredibly clumsy, and i still never managed a feat like this.

Awww. Man, i know it seems like such a small thing, but Hikari not laughing but instead looking concerned is so heartwarming to me.

I ask again, how is it possible not to at least tolerate her? She is the sweetest thing ever.

You see, in contrast to the first movie, here it actually makes sense for Nagisa to doubt herself. The activity she is lamenting her self worth over is something she isn’t actually that experienced in, and she has failed multiple times in the prep.

God, i hope the second movie is better.
