What is the best thing that has happened to your character? Why was this so important? How has this experience shaped their personality and actions? 

For lauren:

Probably her parents telling her that she couldn’t go to the JKA. Because she was so angry at them, she started to wonder if she really had to do everything they said. And that’s when she realized that maybe, just maybe, she didn’t have to follow the path they had set up for her. Maybe she could forge her own path. Maybe she could be a knight. 

I first wanted to let you know that the post you liked/reblogged is from the wrong blog (I made some mistakes), this blog will be the actual tabby kitten blog. Now on to your questions!

What did your character want to be when they grew up? Have they achieved their dreams? If not, why? If so, does reality live up to their dreams?

ah, ok! 

Anyways, going with ~lauren~ because i get to ~explore some things~

When she was young, she didn’t actually really want to be anything. She was just expected to go into a certain career, and never realized she didn’t have to do it if she didn’t want to. (she never really liked it).

Then, when she moved to Calinas, she started to really learn about knights. And that’s what she wanted to be. No more of the career her parents were dead-set on her having, she would be a knight, no matter what it took.

And yeah, I think she has. I mean, she’s on the path to become one! 

What is true about your character's current life that would make their child self cry? What about their life has surprised them, for good or for bad?

1) after the “:0 is this a surprise party” probably very happy and smiley! all “lafdkja you guys ily so much ldkfaldkfa” and stuff and hugging everyone (who is cool with hugs,) because??? people?? threw her?? a surprise party??? these people are the coolest???

2) o h. o H she has been planning. and planning. and doing a lot of cooking honestly you are getting a fEAST but she is like “aaaa is has to be a surprise!!!! must be Very Secret!!” and it,, uh,,, isn’t always the greatest kept secret, but no one cares and no one ever tellls her because it’s always so good and she’s put so much thought into this!! 

If they’re feeling upset, who is your character likely to talk to for comfort, or do they keep it inside? Why does your character seek out this person/why do they keep their emotions inside?

i will go for ~the magic trio~ because. 

Lauren will probably keep it inside. She just thinks it’s easier that way. Put on a happy mask, and the problem will go away, right? (wrong) No need to burden others with you(r problems)

Thankfully for her mental health, Marigold can sniff out her sadness, and often tries to cheer her up or slowly coax her into talking about what’s wrong, because as much as she says she doesn’t want to talk, she kinda does. 

Goldie will talk to Marigold. She’s known Marigold the longest, and Marigold knows things about her that very few others do. And she just finds comfort in her. She’s always there to listen, or offer advice if the situation calls for it.

But marigold has her bad days as well! and then she knows she can go to either one of them, though she seems to always go to goldie first. This is because she almost sees lauren as her child? or at least, a child, lauren is about fifteen months younger than her and as i stated in an earlier post, six inches shorter. 

yeah!

goldie likes to prank, doodle, and she’s trying to figure out how to sew. it’s not going well but she’s trying.

marigold really likes to cook, but she also sings to herself! (well, she thinks it’s to herself. once, when she thought she was singing alone, she was actually singing to the whole sector. no one mentions it, but it’s just a thing they Know™)

lauren loves astronomy. she loves all science, and is working on a theory to how elements work and why they work, but astronomy is just,, her thing. she also knows how to work a spreadsheet or database like a pro, although she won’t share when, why, or how she learned.

elisabeth likes to play the ukulele, among other instruments (she’s learning tuba), and also likes to bake! she also really likes fashion and design, and always keeps on top of trends.

aaaa i love these asks!!!

lots of the plants are the same, but there are some extra ones like the maylaii (may-lie) and nayii (nay-ee). they are identical small orange berries, the only difference being the maylaii being incredibly poisonous and the nayii being vital to many potions. they do give off very different odors when crushed (maylaii smelling very sweet, and nayii smelling sour), so as long as you’re careful, you will be fine.

our tech is mostly the same as theirs, but some of mgr gadgets and things have certain parts that let them interact with elements.

ahhhh, government! (do u know how much i’ve thought this out)

the countries have their own government systems!

xan ruz is a standard monarchy, like the ones you might find in medieval times. 

bin bive is ruled by a council, with a sprite representing each element. you can become a member if you are picked by the current member of your element, and when they die, you take over their spot. there is not leader within it, and they have a place that they do their meetings. it has a name in the sprite language, but as humans are physically incapable of saying it (and very few actually speak it), it’s usually called the Atrium.

orea has a parliament and a prime minister, and all that stuff. (i don’t completely know how those work, but its government hasn’t actually come up in the story yet.)

julington has a system like the U.S, with an executive branch lead by a president, a legislative branch (although with one house, with one representative from each geographical area), and a judicial branch.

calinas has something of a hybrid. they started out as a monarchy, but slowly changed. they now have a system of councils. each city has their own council, but they can pretty much do as they please. then, each of the ten regions have their own councils. there are five noble members who serve until their designated heir is twenty, and five civilian members who are elected every ten years by the people of the region. elections for the leader of the council are then held within it. 

then, there is the national council. there are representatives from each region, who work closely with the leaders of their own regional councils, and are often even related. the national council is lead by the monarch of the kingdom. for example, amina’s dad is the leader of the national council, and her mom is the leader of the first region (the region they live in) council. amina, being firstborn, will become the leader of the national council, while her little brother will be on the first region council, weather or not he is leader is up to the council in his time. and elisabeth’s mom, duchess sonya is a member of the las council, and her wife, duchess allie, is a member of the national council.
