TBH you really didn’t HAVE to do gilded age fashion if you truly didn’t want to you could have had a truly stunning and clever beautifully made garment of gold overlain on top of a grungy yet elegant piece to take the Gilded theme literally (thinly covered gold, i.e painting something gold as a means of covering up what’s underneath) but nobody did this . This theme was good there were a lot of creative interpretations you could have taken too I hate all celebrities

I hate that Elon Musk is at the met gala but honestly nothing is more on theme than having a robber baron attend
