MG HYAKU SHIKI KAI
This design simultaneously maximizes coolness and goofiness. While not a perfect kit, it is a really good one.
Almost all of the gold plating is under gated. The articulation, for the most part, is on point. You even have the option to build the original if you wanted to for some reason. I did debate building a hybrid but went with a straight build of the kai.
Now. There are a few personal issues I have with it. Some are more understandable than others, such as the headโs design heavily limiting its range of motion and leading to a head that likes to pop off. The amount of color correction I have to do though.. that Iโm a little less okay with.
I do normally paint the details myself on kits if I can(Iโm an AoZ girly after all) but this is a plated kit. Not only is it a plated kit itโs a plated kit with two red runners that have too many unused parts to justify not printing out the arm pipes, shoulder thrusters, and the two side thrusters on the backpack.
Also Iโm not gonna put the decals on because I donโt want to fuck up the plating.
I would still recommend this kit if you like the design but be aware that it has a few issues.
