It's most certainly a mobility aid from how he leans his weight against it, heavy body quite exhausting to drag around day after day. His own Commune outpaces Murdoc's followers by a landslide, and yet he's not here to poach or join forces. Merely to extend a hand...for now.

He'd just gotten off of work. Another long day.

It wasn't cheap to live in Hollywood. He often had to pick up overtime, he felt tired. Yet still, he walked the sidewalks with a smile. The commute back home wasn't a short one, he could only afford an apartment on the edge of the town. That meant an hour long bus ride, assuming he didn't miss the bus. It would be much longer to walk, which he's had to do on more than one occasion.

Danny had a tendency to get lost in the music that always played in his mind.

It showed in the way he was soon scatting out a tune, he danced so often and so frequently, even now, that even after a twelve hour shift, his feet only slightly ached. He'd be happy to get home, and take a hot shower. He probably smelled exactly like the place he worked. Strawberry, or chocolate.

The sun was beginning to set. It was autumn, days were growing shorter, and colder. Eyes close, and while he didn't quite feel up to dancing, that didn't stop his beautiful voice from ringing out in an aria to the tune in his head. It wasn't until he bumped shoulders with someone that his entire demeanor changed.

He'd learned the hard way. City folk were much more harsh than those he knew back in Kokomo. Taking his hat off, there's a soft frown on his face.

It's not really.. a fair assumption. And so Z can't help but pause a little bit.

The mention of someone being obsessed with you is enough to make them grimace a bit.

It's really true. Smoking is considered 'sexy' and 'aesthetic' but thats only to an extent because people cringe away when you smell like smoke and even lovers turn sour when all you taste like is ash when you kiss. For a look, it's where it's at in a lot of interests but in reality you get shit for it.

From the way he winces, brightens, and then frowns, it's clear he doesn't. For a second there, it's possible it came back to him, but now...? Nope. Didn't stick.

"You're sure...?" He can picture Noodle there, can remember a few of the faces that whirled in and out of his orbit during the single release party. As he remembers it, however, Murdoc claimed a migraine and saw himself out long before the night was done- with some cute groupie on his arm.

"I thought you w-were gone by then. You weren't there for-for the speech, so I let Russell give it instead."

"I haven't changed much since the last time you said shit like that to me." Lance is generally too smart for bad decisions, to the point that he's boring. He's the safe friend. He's the one who's too concerned with stability to take big leaps. There's a reason he happily delivers the mail and keeps his music on the backburner. A reason he's stayed in the same rental for five years running now.

A reason dating an international pop star with a drug problem is a bad fucking idea.

Oil and water, these two. Not to mention the first failed attempt.
