Sofia the first royal magic first episode spoilers
In Sofia the first royal magic episode 1 Layla says that she just became a princess and that both her parents were just crowned. This means that she is new to princess things just like Sofia which is super cool but it dose bring up the question of why and how she just became a princess. If her parents had just been crowned due to someone dying then she would have already been a princess due to the secession line, but she wasn’t and is still practicing her curtsy.
so I think that her kingdom of Mezzouk recently had a revolution, civil war, or the death of all other potential heirs to the throne resulting in her family coming to power.
