A Suspicious Huckleberry 2.0 (Dennis Whitaker x Reader)
Summary: Dennis Whitaker has seemingly had a glow-up in the past few months and it has left the entire Pitt wondering (and making bets) as to what is the cause of his glow up
Warnings: takes place during 10-month gap!, fluff!, Whitaker's glow up, our Huckleberry is in love, mexicana!reader, Reader and Dennis are the same age!, reader is described as having short, layered hair
Series Masterlist
"Are you sure this is how it's done?" Dennis asked with a furrowed brow as Y/N scrunched his hair.
"Yup", she grinned with a peck to his cheek. "Your curls are gonna be so cute."
She had worked product into his freshly washed, wet hair and was now scrunching it with a towel.
"We're lucky my sister has curly hair", Y/N giggled as Dennis sat on the stool.
Dennis watched from the reflection in the mirror, sitting patiently as Y/N stood on a small stool to make sure she reached all of his head. Y/N had somehow convinced him to start growing out his hair a bit and now, she had him sitting down on a stool getting his curls styled.
Dennis hadn't thought all those months ago he'd gain a girlfriend, one that packed him lunches and lathered him in love (something he was still getting used to considering the way his family was, but something he melted at each time).
He spent most of his time now with her at her house; the only thing that he didn't do was sleep over and that was because her parents had a strict rule about that despite how much Y/N said they loved him.
"And why are we filming it?" Dennis asked.
"To show my followers how cute my Victorian ghost guerito is", she said, grabbing the diffuser next. "Plus don't pretend you don't like it after a hard day over in the ER."
It was true.
"You wouldn't believe the kind of day I had at the Pitt", Dennis voiced. "I got peed on 4 times again! Every time Robby or one of the other residents have a hard case, they call me!"
"My poor baby. How dare they make you get covered in bodily fluid", she cooed, putting down the diffuser. "But look at how cute you look with your curls! One month left and you'll be the most stylish resident on the floor."
Dennis didn't really see the difference, but his ears felt hot as Y/N began to rain lip-gloss sticky kisses all over his face and well, what kind of boyfriend would he be to ruin her happiness over her work?
"There! Now we're ready for our date!"
~
Trinity Santos liked to think of herself as a observant person. She was trying to become a doctor after all. She had to be observant so when she first noticed Whitaker constantly on his phone, she thought nothing of it.
Maybe he had finally found more friends.
Then he suddenly began to pop up with sticky lip gloss to his cheeks or lips, the occasional lip stick smeared on him.
But the damning thing was the lunches he started bringing one day.
Grand spreads that put five-star restaurants to shame that ranged from different Mexican dishes to even simple sandwiches that came with more than a big of chips with fruit salad, dessert and other things she knew Whitaker didn't have time to do.
And whoever was giving him the food knew what they were doing as Whitaker's face had begun to fill out from the food and even his hair had begun to grow into a stylish curly mullet. He was beginning to slowly look less like a Victorian ghost and more like just a sad ghost of the modern time.
"I'm not the only one noticing this, right?" Santos asked her fellow co-workers one day.
"Maybe he has a girlfriend", Javadi suggested, "you did say he's gone a lot now."
Currently, they watched as Whitaker ate a massive lunch when they also noticed Robby settling down next to Whitaker with his own fucking massive lunch.
"Okay, what the fuck?" Santos said, baffled. "What is going on here?"
"Let's just focus on one thing at a time", Mohan said with a shake of her head. "Robby's been in a hell of a good mood, he hasn't even called me Slow Mo and whoever is responsible for that is a saint."
Trinity Santos was observant, yes.
"Hell yeah to that statement", Cassie said as she passed by. "Not even Langdon being at rehab is bothering him."
But she still had no clue what the fuck was going on.
Which is why Ahmad and the others had begun a betting pool as to what was causing their Huckleberry to blossom.
Princess, Perlah and Dana had all put their money on a secret inheritance.
Donnie and Jesse had put their money on him having sold his soul, somehow.
And Mel and Robby (an odd combo in the betting pool) had gone on the conservation route: he found a girlfriend.
And her being said roommate to Whitaker, she put all her money into where Donnie and Jesse put theirs: he sold his soul.
Because this was Huckleberry they were talking about.
~
It was nearly 9 PM when Dennis finally left the ER; his body heavy and tired with exhaustion. He stunk like hospital and student debt as he gathered his things.
âHeading home, Whitaker?â Lifting his head, he saw Robby with his own bag slung over his arm.
Home?
His heart felt like it melted at the thought of his beloved, Y/N.
Those dark, sparkly eyes, her soft brown skin, her smile that felt like he was shot by Cupidâs arrow each time.
His mom was right about pretty city girls.
He was their perfect victim.
âYeahâ, Dennis dopily sighed with a love stricken smile. âIâm heading home.â
As he headed out to the bus stop (since Trinityâs shift went for another hour), he pulled out his phone and scrolled to her number.
It rang for a second before her voice rang to him, âHi Denny! How was your shift?â

đđŽđđĄđ¨đŤâđŹ đ§đ¨đđ: since iâm getting back into writing after almost two years, i fear i mightâve rushed this lol so forgive me if i did but anyways finn ate with his two seconds of screen time, too hot to be gone so soon. âšď¸
you had only been in california for about three months and people would already describe you to be almost arrogant, never really having to work hard to get the things you need.
âdonât worry about it, the dime is on me.â you recalled back to meeting your coworkers boyfriend for the first time, buying weed from him was the start of your friendship with him. âno more freebies after this though.â
it was a total lie.
your coworker and you suddenly became best friends and she was quick to notice how attentive men were with you.
her boyfriend offered to go with her to get coffees but she quickly denied. âno offense but iâd have better luck with her to get a free drink.â
and she was right.
âthe coffee is on me.â the both of you had heard from behind and cash being placed into the baristaâs hand in front of you. âpretty girls should never have to pay for their things.â
then another time when you asked your boss for your check a few days earlier, he hesitatingly agreed. âthis one time only.â
you knew exactly what you looked like and what people turned into when you were around, a latina with a face that would make heads turn.
ââ .âŽ
robert franklin knew he shouldnât have picked you up after you shift at the furniture store, especially because kat had basically forbade him from hanging out with you but that was before.
before he called for a break he felt they so desperately needed.
âbobby?â he heard your sweet voice and felt you run a hand through his hair which brought him back from his thoughts. âque te pasa? did something happen with kat? she asked to leave early today.â (whatâs wrong?)
he had not been able to think straight for the last two days â of course he couldnât, not when you had told them you were going to move to new york for a possible acting job in a few months, not when you can possibly forget all about him.
he should have never listened to kat who had begged and begged him to help you film that stupid auditioning tape.
he smiled and shook his head, all while nervously tapping his finger onto the counter. âi actually wanted to talk to you about th-â
clark had placed a big box of lamps onto the counter so it blocked bobbyâs view of you, âyou think you can put these downstairs before you go?â
âpues ya me quiero ir, pero ya que.â you sighed and grabbed two of the lamps. (well i wanted to leave but since you asked.)
he had looked at bobby with a look because he knew of the situation bobby, kat and you were in â the three of you constantly going to him for his secrecy and some advice, to which the three of you never seemed to listen to anyways.
âif you love kat, you will listen to her and stop seeing that girl.â he recalled giving bobby the advice to leave you alone after hearing an argument between kat and him.
another time he could think of was when you had asked if they seemed happy together. âwell they were until you came along.â and when he saw you practically frown he cleared his throat. âno offense, itâs just theyâve been arguing about you.â
you didnât like being the reason of them having problems so when you started thinking about auditioning for a show in new york, clark encouraged it. âgo for it, thereâs nothing grand about this town anyways.â
clark didnât really want to see you go, he had actually grown to like you very much â you were his best saleswoman.
way better than him anyways.
he had grown to like you but he knew you at some point would move onto something new, you had constantly told them you were never in a place for too long â you didnât have family, not much of a friend person and you lived in an apartment close to the store so he naturally fell into a fatherly figure role for you.
then he recalled back to when kat was going on about why he just had to hire you. âbecause you told me you needed another girl around here, i could barely afford to pay you or bobby for helping me with my commercials but i did you a favor.â
and when he accidentally let your plans slip to kat she was overjoyed. âbobby can help her and she can finally leave!â she did a little jump and high fived him. âgood work clark!â
âthatâs not what i was try-â she ran off before he could finish so he groaned and dropped himself onto a chair. âiâm getting too old for this shit.â
ââ .âŽ
kathrine taylor had been suspicious of bobby possibly cheating on her just a few months after you arrived into town.
âsheâs just a friend kat, our friend.â he had placed a quick kiss on her forehead. âyou have nothing to worry about.â
but she saw the way his eyes would linger on you when he thought she wasnât looking, the lingering touches or the random visits he would do to the furniture store.
âbrought you guys some lunch!â he would say kissing her on the cheek and going straight for you afterwards. âand for you i brought you a champurrada with a pan dulce!â (sweet bread)
âitâs champurradoâŚâ you laughed as you corrected him and took the drink from him. âyou didnât have to, the shop is almost all the way across town bobby.â
while you guys were chatting, kat sighed looking down at her strawberry smoothie.
yeah he wonât be allowed around you anymore after today.
so finally when you announced that you were wanted for a live audition in new york, kat was over the moon â whereas bobby knew you would do great over there and they would definitely want you but he couldnât seem to cheer up, he knew youâd forget all about him.
âwell what can you do, she will be missed.â kat sighed and quickly changed the subject. ânow that youâre almost finished with your film class, maybe we can go to th-â
âwe need to breakup, i mean more of a break.â
kat knew it had everything to do with you even though he didnât want to admit it but she trusted you to not go behind her back.
then there was bobby who was hugging a crying kat, already planning how he can get through to you and become more than friends.
ââ .âŽ
for the past month, bobby couldnât get you out of his head and found himself seeking you out more, you had slowly been letting him after finding out kat and him were officially over.
you had been organizing the furniture when bobby took a seat on a recliner and pulled you onto his lap. âso whereâs clark?â
he was glad when you finally let him touch you more, it only took an accidental slip up of him telling you that he had liked you â he was able to hold your hand as you guys walked. slide down his hand onto the small of your back whenever the two of you were standing next to each other. pulling you into his lap even if there were millions of other chairs around.
you shrugged as his thumb hooked itself to the waistband of your shorts. âtrying to fix his marriage supposedly, told me to watch over the store and close up.â
weeks later when clark finally returned again, he was pacing around putting things in a bag like tools and extra clothes.
he tried to quickly explain he was leaving for a few weeks but he didnât want to say where. âlook iâll be back and when iâm backâŚâ clark went on as grabbed papers and a pen, almost out of breath. âi need you, bobby and kat to have made up with whatever the hell you guys have got going on because iâll be needing you three for some research.â
ââ .âŽ
during the second month, bobby was now getting the cold shoulder from you â he stood behind you as you talked to a customer who was totally hitting on you, he tried wrapping his arm around you but you swatted his hand away.
âdejame and please just leave the store, i got it on my own.â you quietly mumbled out and moved away from him. (leave me alone)
he had invited you over to his house for dinner about two weeks ago and it was going well, way too well.
âf-fuuck. shit, baby you feel so good right nowâŚâ he moaned as he felt your gummy walls tighten around his cock each time heâd slam back into you and just before he almost finished, there was a hard knock on the door.
the both of you chose to ignore it but then another knock but harder.
he stopped his movements, leaving you to groan and tried to keep him from stopping.
âbobby! open up, i want my things back!â
heâs been telling kat for weeks now to come get her stuff and of course she chooses now to get it.
you sat up and wrapped the sheets around you. âque cosas quiere?â (what things does she want?)
his spanish was not great so he didnât know what you had said but he noticed the hint of anger in your voice. âwhat?â
just before you could answer there was another knock. âfor fuck-sake kat! hold on!â
he of course had her things already packed in a box, it wasnât like he had her stuff around but you didnât see it that way.
you had packed your overnight bag back up and as much as he pleaded with you to stay the night, you were ready to go.
âcâmon believe me baby, i only want youâŚâ
you shook your head no. âwhatever this was itâs over, iâll be leaving to new york whenever we finish doing whatever it is that clark wants us to do when he returns.â
he quickly ran to the door and got on his knees in front of you. âplease donât say that, i lo-â
âbobby enough! you still have your ex-girlfriendâs things here, you canât even ask me properly to be your girlfriendâŚâ
which led you to now.
it was closing time and you were in the office organizing papers when you saw bobby had came back with a bouquet of flowers, so once you finished you grabbed your bag and began heading to the door â he was still waiting outside, when suddenly he started swatting the flowers around and his other free hand as well.
you laughed once you saw a small moth flying around him and the petals were beginning to fall off the flowers.
when he was done, you finally walked out and began locking the door to the furniture store. âis the coast clear?â you asked with a giggle.
âiâm glad you think this is funny, i had a whole apology speech ready to go when this stupid moth began attacking me.â he groaned looking down at the now ruined bouquet. âeven wanted to ask you outâŚâ
he was such an idiot.
you smiled as you helped him remove some petals off his hair. âpobrecito.â (poor thing.)
he frowned and extended his arms out to you. âyeah pobrecito me.â
you rolled your eyes and gave in, hugging him a little too tightly but he didnât seem to care.
ââ .âŽ
it wasnât long before you guys were in the backseat of your car, the moment you sank down onto him, you were rolling your hips and he threw his head back onto the headrest.
âholy fuck, youâre so...fucking good.â he found it hard to come up with the right words as you picked up the pace, rolling your hips and doing an occasional circle. âplease s-slow down, im going to cum and i havenât even started with you y-yet.â
you moaned softly as you dug your nails into his shoulders. âyouâre so big bobby..â
âhold on, s-slow down.â and just before you could pickup the pace again he brought down one of his hands to your thigh, stopping you from moving and another to your face to force you to look at him. âte amo..â (i love you)
he saw the way your pupils were blown out and you let out a broken whine. âyo tambien te amo.â (i love you too)
he sloppily jerked himself up into you a few times before flipping you onto your back and making sure he was now the one to ruin you.
by the time you were done, it was almost pitch black in the parking lot but the both of you noticed a small light in the furniture store.
âhm. you forgot to turn off a light.â bobby pointed out before drinking out of his water bottle and passing it to you.
âhuh. thought i turned them all off, thatâll be tomorrowâs problem.â
âŽ
finally when the both of you were tucked into bed and his arm was draped around you, you were almost asleep but could still hear him softly talking.
âafter doing this research thing with clark, iâll come with you to new york and help you settle down, maybe i can even stay there with you for awhileâŚâ
you nodded. âmaybe, iâll skip out on the recall and stay here with you.â
ânot going to let you miss that audition baby.â he hugged you tighter and kissed the side of your head. âif anything maybe iâll pickup another film class over there so i can be with youâŚâ
he went on about different plans you guys could work out in new york and when he knew you were sleeping, he kissed the side of your head once again and listed his last plan. âi want to love you till the end of my life.â
little did he know was that in a few days that was the only plan he would actually be able to completeâŚ

summary: when the world cup leads england and mexico to go toe to toe, youâre forced to learn that loving someone doesn't mean loving less of where you come from
contains: fluff, stupid humor, swearing, angst, miscommunication, avoidant attachment, slight fighting, crying, bittsweeet & a little bit of spanish
notes: saw this tiktok and it gave me inspo LMAO iâm SO sorry this took forever guys :/ my brain is lowk turning to mush so so sorry if thereâs typos or if things donât make since LOL / also mexico AND england both out the wc final now đ anyway i hope you guys like my silly writing !
ËËËŕźşâ¤ď¸ŕźťËËË
Out of all possible pairings, this was by far your worst nightmare.
When the round of 16 matchups were announced, your heart stopped. Mexico vs. England. Right, right. My country vs. my boyfriend's country. Perfect. My family vs. my boyfriend. Oh just wonderful!
Once Jude finished training and returned to the team's hotel, you both immediately FaceTimed to discuss the news, in disbelief.
He's still in Atlanta with the squad, and you're in LA with your family. (You had agreed that if he advanced further, you'd fly out for the games, since you werenât eager to add more air travel and pollution amidst recent hectic weeks.)
How could it be that out of all possible tournament outcomes, your nations would face each other? How?
Earlier in your relationship, you joked that if Mexico and England ever played, you'd root for Mexico, and Jude for England, obviously. But now, with the game imminent, youâre incredibly nervous.
Your mind raced through anxious thoughtsâfrom logical to absurd. Will the game be intense? Too close to call? Extra time? PKs? What if Mexico wins and Jude decides weâre done? What if England wins, and my family turns on Jude, and weâll never see each other again?!
Of course, you didnât say any of thar during the call.
Instead, you talked about how huge the Banorte âAztecaâ Stadium is, the high altitude, how well both teams had been playing, the media hype, and that you'd be watching.
He mentioned how the team was approved to take Viagra to handle the altitude better, which made you burst out laughing.
Throughout the call, you both promised that regardless of the result, you'd face it togetherâpromising to support each other, comforting one another after the final whistle, and working through any heartbreak. Everything will be okay.
"...So you promise not to be mad when I pull up in the beat-up 'Chicharito' jersey that I've had since 10th grade?"
"Mmm... maybe a bit crushed... but I promise not to be mad. As long as yâdonât cry when I score, deal?â
âHey! It was a hefty penny for fifteen-year-old me to pay to a random guy on eBay⌠didn't have big girl money to my name⌠and yes, deal."
"M'honored babe, thank you."
âYeah, yeah, pendejo.â
âOi!â
Both of you understood how intense this game would be, so you pushed aside your worries and nerves, not wanting to burden Jude with your stress. Heâs already carrying enough pressure on his shoulders, so it wouldn't be fair to add yours.
You decided to wait until after the match. Still, despite trying to imagine the day and all its emotions, you felt unprepared for the storm about to hit.
No, not even close.
Those days flew by like nothing. Jude flew down with the team and staff after their match with DR Congo to train and prepare, while you arrived two days early with some of your girls.
You helped them settle into their Airbnb, explored the city, went grocery shopping, and enjoyed drinks and dancing until the early hours of the morning. You did offer your small Roma Norte studio apartment for them to crash at initially, as you stay there every few months for work or little trips with Jude. But, there was just no way they could all live or sleep comfortably, so you saw it as a well-earned âbig girl moneyâ splurge on behalf of your closest friends.
Once game day arrived, you were a nervous wreck. Your friends reassured you that you had every right to feel anxious, as they would feel the same in your shoes. But they also emphasized that everything would be fine, that your talks with Jude before hand were the best initiative to take. Still anxious, you all got ready together after lunch, took photos, and had your chauffeur, Charlie, drive you all to the stadium. Throughout the day, you sent supportive texts to Jude, knowing he'd read them whenever he could.
đ
âthe girls and i just finished getting ready! ended up wearing the shorts and sambas over the skirt and boots :p omw"
âomfg the stadium is HUGE! u and the boys are gonna loose ur hearing from this crowdâ
âjust made it to the suite:) iâll send a pic of the viewâ
âdeep breathes! iâll meet up with you before you head to the locker rooms :) love you đâ
You hoped he was managing better than you were. Your heart pounded as both teams walked out onto the pitch to sing their national anthems, and you felt borderline nauseous at kickoff. These 90 minutes would be agonizing, and you were so, so right.
⚠࣪ Ë
It took all your strength not to cry when Jude scored twice in quick successionâthe tension in the stadium grew thicker, with the faces of fans and friends reflecting disbelief.
At that point, all you could do was signal towards the private bar to your friends, a visible âdrink upâ plastered on your face, which led to another round after QuiĂąones finally scored for Mexico, cheering loudly and celebrating relief. But it didn't last long, as Kane scored that penalty effortlessly.
While Mexico reset at the kick-off circle, your phone pinged with messages from your mom, showing pictures of your family back home: grandparents in jerseys, the house decorated, nieces and nephews making silly faces, and your parents sending a video wishing you a good time. It made your heart ache painfully. When JimĂŠnez scored, you were torn between laughter and tears, as no further goals followed.
The final whistle brought a lump to your throat and a flood of conflicting emotionsâamazing game, heartbreaking loss, hope dashed, yet gratitude that Jude and England advanced.
How do you even react? Scream? Burst out crying? Smash your head against the wall? Jump up and down? No. You just stood there, prayer hands resting against your lips, trying to keep tears from blurring your vision.
You held yourself together as best as you could, thinking, 'Get a grip,â âDonât make this about you,â âDonât cry,' over and over in your head. It felt childish, as if football was meant to be joyful, beautiful, soul crushing, and unpredictable. It was just a part of the game, and you had no right to be upset at Jude for doing his job and scoring twice, bringing his team closer to the final. God, get over yourself!
As your friends slipped away for one last bathroom break, you managed a quick moment with Jude before he went to recover and speak to the press. Seeing him was electrifying, as that smile of his nearly knocked you over. He jogged towards you, arms wrapping around you instantly, as you responded instinctively.
"Hi, you," he said with a small laugh, his face glowing from excitement. You thought his cheeks were about to fall off from smiling so much. You looked up at him, one hand cupping his face. Just breathe. "You were unbelievable! Mâso proud of you, baby,â you added, your hand resting on his pounding heart. âThank you, my love,â he murmured, leaning into your palm and kissing it.
As you rambled about how excited your friends were, he studied your flushed cheeks and tired eyes. He knew whyâof course he didâand in a perfect world, heâd undo those moments for your sake.
"Glad your girls enjoyed the match... How yâfeeling? I knowâ?â he tried to ask, but he was stopped when you cut him off. "Ohâ yeah, yeah Iâm good! A little.. tired, but Iâm alright; I wasnât the one running around for almost two hours," you said with a small laugh, dismissing it lightly.
"Yeah, Iââ "Jude, câmon! We gotta hit up tâshowers and run through target therapy before we chat wâthe press lines," a staff member called. He hesitated, clearly not wanting to leave.
"Go, I need to head back to the girls and help them get home anyway,â you said softly, giving him a quick hug and a peck on the lips.
âIâll see you when youâre done, okay? Do you want me to meet you at the hotelâŚ? Or go to myâ"
âYour place, please. I'll meet you there⌠Can you tellâ"
âIâll let Charlie know to come get you later, don't worry," you assured him, knowing Charlie surely wouldnât have a problem doing so.
"Okay go! Iâll see you soon!â "Bye, bug. Text me when yâget back home,â he replied. âI will, Chau!â you chirped back as he continued down to the locker rooms, while security walked beside you to escort you back, disappearing from view on the hunt to reunite with your friends.
As he goes through press interviews, ice baths, target massage therapy, and a small celebration with the team, it's clear he feels relieved.
He's so beyond grateful they made it to the quarterfinals, thankful his parents Denise and Mark, Jobe, and his friends watched and cheered him onâthe biggest stage.
However, his mind keeps racing about you. He wants to know you're okay, how you're feeling, and what you're thinking during and after the game.
He wishes he could be with you, away from the noise of 80,000 people and the pressure of the moment.
You told him you were fine, so he didnât push further. He trusts you, and if you were upset, you would have told him, right? Before leaving, he sends a few quick messages saying he's on his way to you, with Charlie discreetly driving him to your apartment.
đŞ˛
âjust got done with press! went on waay too longâ
âabout to head out with charlieâ
âmaybe we can make some food when i get back :) grill up some salmon and zucchini"
âomw bug! be home in 30 :Dâ
When ten minutes pass without a reply, he finds it strange but tries not to overthinkâperhaps you're in the shower, doing your bedtime routine, or dozing off watching TV.
What Jude doesn't know is that you're on the phone with your mom, crying. Sitting the little balcony table outside your room, makeup removed, hair down and a bit messy, dressed in a thin white long sleeve and turquoise gaucho pants, you are an absolute mess. Mexico's loss affected you deeplyâmore than expected. It was more than just anticipation.
You weren't only waiting for a historic national victory; you were overwhelmed with tears, thinking of how your grandparents had long dreamt of this day since they were young, just like you. Picturing your familyâparents, cousins, nieces, and nephewsâgathered around, sharing the same excitement and hope, made your heart ache even more.
You feel guilty for feeling this way. So ashamed with yourself. Jude's success âone of the key reasons for England advancing back into the World Cup quarterfinals and earned praise for his talent and effortâshouldnât you be happy? You should be over the moon with joy for him.
So why does this grief feel so overwhelming? You want to lock these feelings away in a box and chuck it into the ocean to hide this guilt.
On the phone, your breathing is uneven, your voice shaky. "I hate that I can't stop... fuckinâ crying, yâknow? I donât wanna cry," you croak.
"The... the photos yâtexted me of Grandma and Grandpa... and Ita and Tata in their jerseys, and the kids laughing and cheering with them... I feel so bad, Mami... Iâm so sorry... and I donât know why,â you heaved.
Halfway through the lengthy call, you hear the door unlock and Jude calling your name. He briefly catches snippets of your muffled conversation as he drops his bags, toeing off his shoes, and walks toward your room.
You barely stopped yourself from choking off your own spit. "I just... lo sĂŠ... sĂŠ que estĂĄn bien, que no es mi culpa," you say with a small laugh and a sniffle.
"Iâ uh... estĂĄ bien, estĂĄ bien, Iâll stop crying... diles que llamarĂŠ maĂąana... alright... te quiero tambiĂŠn... Chau chau."
When you hung up the phone, you barely even had a chance to dry your face with the end of your sleeve and compose before Jude was at the balcony doorway. His voice hitting your eardrums, as his long strides panged against the wooden floor. âSorry I took so long! Press took forever.. Awh I havenât soon those joggers in a whiââ his voice startled you, making jump in your seat to turn to look at him.
He stopped in his tracks instantly, the words completely falling dry in his mouth. He halted at the balcony doorway, a look of confusion and shock on his face as he scans over your wet, flushed face.
He was moving before you could think of an excuse, his brows furrowing the moment he saw your expression. âWhaâ Whatâs wrong?â he asked, voice laced with concern as he moved to stand in front of you. A quick shake of your head followed, forcing out a quiet, âOh hi! Iâm good⌠Sorry, I was just on the phoââ but your eyes told an entirely different story.
âNo, youâre not,â he said immediately, confusion flashing across his face. âLook at meâyouâve been like this all day. What you not tellinâ me?â he questioned, frantically trying to search your face for any sign of answers, his mind already running through every terrible possibility.
âY.. Yâbarely said a word âbout how you were during the match. We agreed thaâ weâd talk things out no matter tâoutcome⌠We both promised! And yâstill hidinâ from me,â He swallowed hard, unable to hide the frustration in his eyes.
âJude.. I just didnât wanna stress you out! Please, Iâm fââ âStop saying that! Just stop!â he bursted out, making your throat go dry. âIâ Fuck just stop! Please. Donât keep shuttinâ me out like this⌠yâcant do that to me. I canât help if you wonât let me in.â He croaked out, his voice winded and practically pleading.
That was when you finally broke.

The tears you'd been holding back came all at once, hot and uncontrollable as you hid your face in your trembling hands. Your head hung low as watery hiccups and broken sobs spilled past your lips like a waterfall, your shoulders shaking with every shaky breath you tried to swallow back.
His heart sunk.
"Hey, hey, heyâ" he murmured immediately, his voice gentle despite the panic twisting in his chest.
He was beside you within seconds, dropping down to his knees to meet your level before pulling you close against his chest, as though he were afraid you'd fall apart if he held you any less gently.
One arm wrapped securely around your back while the other rested over your shoulder, his hand coming up to cradle the back of your head as he pressed his cheek against your hair.
It hurt to hear you cry like this.
He could feel how quickly your heart was racing beneath your chest, the uneven hiccups hitting the back of your throat, and feel the violent trembles running through your body every time another sob forced its way out of you.
Your muscles tensed against him as though you'd been holding yourself together for far too long before finally allowing yourself to break.
And all he could think about was how badly he wanted to make it stop.
"M'sorry... m'so sorryâ"
The apologies came out broken and muffled against his shoulder, your voice cracking between every shaky breath.
"No, no," he was quick to soothe, rubbing slow circles into your back, shaking his head as he held you just a little closer. "Shh, s'okay, honey... s'alright."
His hand gently combed through your hair as he spoke, careful and patient.
"You're okay," he whispered. "Don't worry boutâ anything else. Just breathe, alright? Follow my breathingâ he muttered out âFeel me.. Mâ right here."
For several moments, neither of you spoke another word. He simply held you while your cries slowly quieted into soft sniffles and shaky breaths, never once loosening his hold. If anything, he wished he could hold you tighterâclose enough to somehow take every bit of hurt from you and carry it himself.
Only when he felt the tension slowly begin to leave your body did he pull back ever so slightly.
His expression softened immediately at the sight before him.
Your eyes were glossy and swollen from crying, tears still clinging to your lashes before trailing down your flushed cheeks. Your bottom lip trembled faintly as you avoided his gaze, embarrassed by your own vulnerability.
"Oh, bee," he sighed sadly, his heart aching at how utterly drained you looked.
Both of his hands came up to cradle your warm face with impossible gentleness, the pads of his thumbs sweeping beneath your eyes to wipe away the tears resting there.
You couldn't bring yourself to look at him for more than a few seconds before another quiet apology slipped from your lips.
"Sorryâ"
"No more sorry's," he interrupted softly, shaking his head as his forehead came to rest against yours. "You haven't done anythin' to be sorry for."
His brows furrowed slightly as he looked at you, thumb absentmindedly brushing across your cheek.
"You hear me?" he asked quietly. "Cryin' isn't somethin' you apologize for. Being upset isn't somethin' you apologize for."
His voice faltered for just a moment before he spoke again, softer this time.
His hand found yours once more as he stood from beside the balcony chair, fingers gently intertwining with your own before giving them a soft squeeze.
"C'mon, love," he murmured quietly. "Let's go inside."
There was no rush in his movements as he guided you back into the hotel room. The late evening air lingered against your skin as the balcony doors slid shut behind the two of you, muffling the sounds of the city below.
He sat beside you on the edge of the bed, never letting go of your hand once.
For a few moments, neither of you spoke. He simply rubbed his thumb against your knuckles while he waited patiently for you to settle, knowing he'd only overwhelm you if he pressed too much.
"Tell me whatâs hurting, love," he finally asked softly.
The question was gentleâcarefulâas though he were afraid asking too loudly might shatter the fragile calm you'd managed to find.
So you told him.
You told him about the match itself. About watching him play one of the best games of his career and feeling so indescribably proud of him. About celebrating every goal and every moment because nobody deserved it more than he did.
But then told him how gutted you were for Mexico.
About your family gathered around the TV back home. Seeing the pictures of your family's faces shift from laughing and cheering to tears and disbelief. About the pride you'd always felt growing up watching them play and how much it still meant to you now.
You told him how emotionally torn you'd felt the entire eveningâone half of your heart soaring while the other was quietly breaking.
And somehow, what made you feel worst of all was feeling guilty for feeling any of it in the first place.
"And..." your voice faltered slightly as you looked down at your lap. "S'not like y'did anythin' wrong. Youâyou played so so well. You were incredible."
You laughed quietly to yourself, though there wasn't much humor behind it.
"I just didn't wanna tell you and make you feel bad. Didn't wanna burden you with my emotions during your moment." Your fingers twisted nervously together as you spoke. "That wouldn't be fair to you."
His brows furrowed slightly at your words, though he remained silent, allowing you to continue.
"So I tried t'hide them away from you." You smiled sadly, shaking your head. "Guess that didn't really work either."
A breathless laugh escaped your lips as your hands came back up to your face, rubbing tiredly at your eyes and flushed skin, perhaps a little rougher than intended.
Without saying a word, Jude gently caught hold of your wrists before guiding your hands back down into your lap. His fingers carefully threaded themselves through yours once more, holding them there as though silently reminding you that you didn't need to hide yourself away anymore.
You couldn't quite bring yourself to look at him just yet.
The only sounds filling the room were your quiet sniffles and the soft rustling of the late-night breeze slipping through the slightly parted curtains.
"Please look at me, love."
His voice broke through the momentary silence so softly that your heart ached at the sound of it.
There was something fragile in his tone that finally made you lift your gaze.
His eyes were glossed over slightlyânot quite crying, but close enough that you realized he'd been holding himself together just as much as you had.
"Want you t'listen to me for a minute, alright?" he spoke quietly. "M'not mad at youâor angry that yâbeen feeling this way."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"Weâwe both knew this game was gonna be intense," he said softly, squeezing your hand. "And we said before it'd probably go either way."
You nodded silently, listening carefully to every word he spoke.
"So none of thisânone of what you're feelin' right nowâis wrong."
He smiled sadly before shaking his head slightly.
"I just..." he paused, swallowing thickly before speaking again. "I think what hurts most is that even after we talked about all this beforehand... y'still couldn't tell me how you were doin'. Or just..." his voice softened considerably, "let me in."
The words made your chest tighten immediately.
"I don't want you t'feel like you've gotta hide yourself away from me just t'spare my feelings," he continued quietly. "And I don't want you thinkin' you can't talk to me because you don't wanna burden me."
His thumb brushed softly over the back of your hand as he smiled sadly.
"'Cause that isn't fair to you either, sweetheart."
Your throat tightened painfully as you listened to him speak. There wasn't an ounce of frustration in his voiceâonly sadness that you'd carried this all by yourself.
Unable to find the right words, you simply nodded in understanding.
The two of you sat quietly for a few moments afterward, allowing the silence to settle comfortably between you.
Then he smiled softly.
"C'mere."
You smiled weakly at the familiar request before shifting closer to him. Carefully, he guided you onto his left thigh, your legs resting comfortably across his right as your arms naturally draped around his shoulders.
His own found their familiar place around your waist almost immediately, warm hands resting against the thin fabric of your shirt as his thumbs rubbed soothing circles against your side.
For several moments, neither of you spoke.
You simply rested against the crook of his neck whilst he held you close, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat beneath your ear.
It felt like coming home.
Eventually, his hand came up to gently cup your cheek as he pulled you back ever so slightly before leaning forward and pressing his lips softly against yours.
It wasn't rushed or hidden away as so many of your kisses had been lately.
There were no cameras waiting outside the door or stolen moments between busy schedules.
It was just you and him.
Only the two of you.
"I love you," he whispered softly between kisses. "S'much, baby."
His forehead rested against yours as his fingers brushed gently through your hair.
"And I just want you t'be okay."
The vulnerability in his voice made your heart ache.
"Worries me when I don't know how you're feelin'," he admitted quietly. "Or what you're thinkin' about up in here."
His kisses slowly traveled from your lips to your cheek before lingering softly against your temple.
"So whenever you start t'feel like this..." he murmured against your skin, "I need you t'tell me, yeah?"
He pulled back slightly, looking at you as though he needed to make sure you understood every word he was saying.
"Don't care how ridiculous or inconvenient you think itâll soundâI want t'know."
His hand gently squeezed yours once more before he smiled softly.
"I want t'know so I can be here with you."
Your eyes softened immediately as you nodded your head.
"Okay," you whispered quietly. "I'll tell you. I'm soâ"
You caught yourself the moment you saw his head tilt slightly, his eyes narrowing playfully as though a very familiar stop saying âsorryâ was only seconds away from spilling past his lips.
A small laugh finally escaped youâthe first genuine one of the evening.
"ÂżMe perdonas por decir 'lo siento', cariĂąo?" you teased quietly.
His entire expression softened immediately as he smiled back at you.
"Oh, mi amor, por supuesto que sĂ," he laughed softly before pressing another kiss to your forehead. "Forgave you the moment I heard yâvoice from downstairs."
The two of you laughed quietly together after thatâthe heaviness in the room slowly beginning to melt away.
The conversation drifted naturally onto happier things afterward. You asked him how he was feeling after the match and how the rest of the boys were doing, listening fondly as he recounted moments from the evening.
In return, you showed him the hundreds of photographs your family had sent from homeâthe television surrounded by cousins and grandparents, your friends crowded together watching the match, and pictures of everyone celebrating despite the bittersweet result.
It made him smile knowing just how loved both of you were.
Hours seemed to pass before you glanced over towards the kitchenette, suddenly remembering the groceries you'd bought earlier that afternoon.
"Oh fuck," you laughed quietly. "I completely forgot to prep for dinner."
He laughed softly at your horrified expression before standing from the bed and holding his hand out towards you.
"Then I suppose we'll have t'make dinner together."
And that's exactly what you did.
It was simpleânothing particularly fancyâbut somehow making salmon and grilled zucchini at nearly midnight while dancing quietly in your tiny kitchen felt more romantic than any expensive restaurant ever could.
He made your tea exactly how you liked it without asking, pressing a kiss to your temple when he handed you the mug while pretending not to notice the fond smile growing on your face.
The rest of the evening passed quietly after that.
Skincare was shared between sleepy laughter and kisses pressed against warm cheeks. Toothbrushes sat side-by-side against the bathroom sink while tomorrow's clothes were messily folded beside your suitcases.
And when the lights were finally switched off, he pulled you impossibly close beneath the covers as though making up for every moment he'd spent worrying about you earlier that evening.
Your head rested comfortably against his chest while his fingers lazily traced shapes against your back.
"You alright?" he whispered quietly into your hair.
You smiled sleepily before pressing a soft kiss against his collarbone.
"Mhm," you hummed. "I am now."
He smiled against the top of your head before pressing one final kiss to your forehead.
"Good," he whispered softly. "Keep it that way."
The last thing either of you remembered before sleep found you was quiet laughter filling the darkness of your bedroom and sleepy kisses shared between whispered I love you's.
Tomorrow brings an early flight to Miami and another busy day for the two of you.
But tonight, all that mattered was that you were hereâin his arms, exactly where you belonged.

notes. this is a little different from what I normally do as well! I combined these two asks here and here (and I kid you not these requests came in like two minutes in from another)!! I tried to be as respectful as possible, and as y'all know I am more than open to any feedback! Love y'all <3
tags. bad bunny x gn!reader, mexican-american!reader, backup dancer!reader, Karol G mention, light angst, but a lot of fluff :)
You worked hard for everything you did, and it showed in all of your achievements.Â
You were the first of your familyâs generation to graduate from college, and you did it with a study in dance. For those five years, you worked your way through at a shitty little diner and auditioned for shows when you could, scraping everything together; every little piece of money you could. Â
It took so much blood, sweat, and tears, but you made it. After years of auditions, you had finally landed the biggest gig of your career, and your absolute dream: dancing for Karol G. It was fun, it was energetic, it was crazy! And it was so much better than you couldâve ever imagined.Â
Dancing had always made you feel so free, and getting to do it with one of your favorite artists was just the cherry on top of everything.Â
Everyone was so incredibly welcoming too; all of the crew immediately started to treat you like family. You got to spend tons of time with many of the dancers, and Carolina herself, who were all so genuinely supportive of each other.Â
Although you were having the time of your life, your mother had always told you that âall that glitters is not goldâ, and that was quite true with the tour.Â
Sometimes you felt like you were having quite the identity crisis - imposter syndrome. It wasnât anyone around you but yourself that made you feel any of these insecurities. Youâd felt them for the majority of your life, especially with working your way to the top, you became much of a perfectionist for yourself.Â
For you, life always seemed to feel like a see-saw, never truly feeling like you belonged anywhere, no matter how hard you tried. Being born with both Mexican and American heritage, youâd always tended to struggle with knowing exactly who you were. With the tour, it was only starting to feel worse.Â
Some days, you didnât feel like enough, especially around one of the biggest Latin music stars in the world. Youâd been rejected countless times in the past; casting agents would tell you you were giving off too much of one side of your heritage at any given time. Prideful for one side one day, but not the other the next. Too much one way, and not enough of the other⌠in a large, diverse group of other Latinx people, you never felt like you ever got the balance right.Â
Benito helped you put everything into perspective.Â
The two of you met at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. It was a big night for you as you were performing for the live broadcast for millions of people across the globe. It was the first time you were being put on television, and that felt insane. You hadnât meant to, but the thought of it all really sent you into a state of shock.
You knew your family would be watching at home and suddenly felt a lot riding on you. It had taken you years of hard work to make this career, and what if you messed it all up by falling or messing up the choreography in front of millions? Or a wardrobe malfunction⌠The weight of generations, who had worked so hard for you to have this wonderful life, was starting to fall onto your shoulders.
On stage, everything luckily went fine. There were no falls or messes or malfunctions. Youâd practically turned off your mind and went on autopilot, smiling through the tsunami of doubt crashing through you.Â
As soon as you were done, however, you were rushing off into the wings to gasp for air. To others, it looked like you were just exhausted from the intense routine, but inside, you were crumpling in on yourself.
Benito, having been waiting in the wings for his own performance, had been watching you. You had all but captivated him on the stage; one of the most beautiful and talented people heâd ever seen. When you ran off the stage, he noticed youâd split off to breathe from the rest of the group and took the few seconds of opportunity he had.
He jogged over to you - despite the protest of his manager to get back in places - nearly shocking you even more. With a small smirk, he wordlessly held out his water bottle to you, having only taken a sip or two out of it himself. Although you furrowed your brows at him in confusion, he urged you to take it and drink. When you did, you slowly started to catch your breath and the smile never left his face.Â
He placed a hand on the middle of your back, breathing, âQue increĂble eresâŚâÂ
Before you could say anything, he was being whisked back to his spot by a hoard of managers and people, but not before he gave you a small wink.
After the awards ceremony, Karol Gâs crew decided to go to the after-party, and youâd felt much more calm, but could still feel your insecurities getting the better of you. Putting on a smile, youâd changed out of your performance outfit into something more presentable for the occasion and had decided to mingle for a while.Â
Somewhere in the crowd, you and Benito met again. He was starting to occupy your mind just as much as the insecurities since heâd handed you the water bottle, but it was much more welcome. When he came up to properly say hello to you, you couldnât help but smile wide at him.
âEso fue un gesto muy dulce,â you said.
Benito bit his lip, giving you another wink, âNo fue nada.â
The two of you began to talk in private corners around the party, mainly about each otherâs performances. Youâd only caught the beginning of his, but he quite literally gushed at you about yours. Your body began to heat up from all of the compliments, feeling like your cheeks would be scorching if you touched them.
Even after all of the praise, the conversation between the two of you never stopped. For the both of you, it felt really easy to talk to each other.Â
Very quickly, you found out that the two of you grew up very similarly - the both of you had worked incredibly hard to get to where you were - sacrificing so much for yourselves and your families just to make things better for them, and wondering if you were still enough in both communities. Telling him your insecurities came out more naturally than you thought they would, because he felt much of the same.
âUna no puede existir sin la otra.â Heâd said, âSin ambas partes, no serĂas tĂş.â
You kissed him harder than youâd ever kissed anyone before. And he made you forget all of your insecurities.Â
Every touch, every lick, and every movement of his hips against yours made your brain rewire. He would whisper about your eyes, your hair, your skin, your body⌠he wanted you to know that you were concocted of all of the best parts of your heritage. Especially having you underneath him, he strived to make you forget about any weight other than the one from his own body.
There was something tender too, like a sort of understanding you had yet to share with anyone else but him.Â
The next morning, the two of you were still curled up in his hotel bed, your arms wrapped tightly around each otherâs waists. You both had a busy day ahead of you, but neither of you made any attempts to get up. With his fingers, he lightly caressed your side.Â
âNunca olvides lo mucho que vales. EstĂĄs justo donde tienes que estar.â
You couldnât help the small smile that grew, gently kissing him on the lips.

As they celebrated the day, the vibrant streets came alive with music, laughter, and the scent of freshly made food drifting through the air. Robby, eager to embrace every part of the experience, especially since it was his first time celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month in Mexico, could hardly contain his excitement.
They wandered from stall to stall, trying everything they could: tacos al pastor sizzling on the grill, elotes dripping with butter and chili, churros dusted in cinnamon sugar, and refreshing cups of horchata to cool down. Robbyâs eyes lit up with every bite, each flavor telling a story of tradition and warmth.
He laughed along with the locals, joined in the music, and even tried a few dance steps he didnât quite master, but his enthusiasm made up for it. For him, it wasnât just about the food or the festivities; it was about connection, joy, and celebrating a culture that welcomed him so openly.

It's specifically a Mexican reader but there's cute Jude moments on here I think everyone should have a read at :)
Part 2
contains: social media au & text messages!
wc: 6,571 (in total of pt. 1 & 2)
summary: Y/N goes away on a trip to Mexico much to Jude's dismay!
includes: suggestive content and sexting!
~
I don't see much love for us Mexican and Brown girlies on here so I must deliver 𫡠I honestly had SO much fun writing and creating this, I hope you all enjoy it! I really connected to this post and poured out all my love and devotion to it!
~
âBabe, I think I want to go on a trip,â I blurted out, as Jude and I both chilled on the living room couch.Â
Jude was laying down beside me, as I sat comfortably. He looked up from his phone, locking his eyes with mine. His feet softly grazing my thigh.Â
âYeah? Where should we go?â He asked sweetly, curious as to our next trip.Â
âWell, I meant me.â I clarified.Â
âWhat?â He baffled, his eyebrows scrunching together, now sitting up.Â
I turned over, holding in my laughter at his reaction.
âWhat do you mean?â He questioned, closing the gap between us on the coach.Â
âYouâre so cute when youâre confused,â I smiled, letting out a giggle, as I traced his cheek with my hand.Â
His big brown eyes bore into mine as they waited for an answer.Â
âThereâs going to be a festival in Mexico to start off the spring season. Itâs a pretty big deal and my cousins from over there were inviting me to go,â I explained, in hopes that heâd be on board with the idea.Â
âOh.â He replies, scooting back leaving some space between us.Â
I frown at the lost touch of his presence and his dull bland response.Â
He clears his throat and contemplates whether or not he should go back on his phone as he processes his girlfriendâs words.Â
âJude?â I say, moving closer to him, placing my hand under his knee. Softly roaming around his skin.Â
His eyes flicker back over to me.Â
He lets out a sigh and his head falls back.Â
I stopped my roaming hand that was now on his broad thigh. Â
âWhatâs wrong, baby?â I ask softly, looking at his head that was laying on the far end of the couch.Â
I grab ahold of his soft hand with mine and place them against my lips. Peppering small kisses on them.Â
Butterflies erupted in Judeâs stomach from the continuous touch of his girlfriend and her loving low voice.Â
Jude melts at Y/Nâs puppy dog eyes which she probably doesnât even know she has.Â
âItâs nothing.â He reiterates.Â
âJude! Come on,â I give him a knowing look.Â
Jude grumbles and lets out an annoyed laugh knowing he canât fool his girl.Â
I raised a brow at him, ready for him to fess up.Â
Jude wasnât the type to say ânoâ to his girlfriend. He wasnât controlling in a toxic way nor did he ever stop her from doing something she wanted to.Â
Y/N wasnât asking for Judeâs permission, she never felt that way so she knew that wasnât it.Â
âI donât know. I just feel weird because thatâs a whole different part of your life that I donât know about. Youâve mentioned your trips to Mexico before but youâve never been since weâve started dating,â He slowly confessed.Â
I nodded understandingly.Â
âYeah babe, I know.âÂ
Jude was glad Y/N understood.Â
âThatâs exactly why my cousins are begging me to go. Itâs always so fun when we all get together and itâs been forever since weâve last seen each other,â I explain.Â
Of course Jude has met Y/Nâs family like her uncles, aunts, cousins, grand-parents all family members that lived in the same country as them. But never her extended family that far out, so he was apprehensive about it.Â
Of course it was her family, but it had him on edge.Â
âWell are your parents going or y/b/n &Â y/s/n?â He asked.Â
I shook my head. âNope, just me. But itâs okay Jude. Iâve been there before, trust me, itâs like my second home. You donât have to worry.â I tried to console, but really it just irked him.Â
âI donât really know. Iâd just feel more comfortable if your parents or siblings were there,â He shrugged.Â
I sighed.Â
âWell, what is it about me going thatâs got you all worked up?â I inquired.Â
âWell for starters what are you going to be doing there? Are you just going to be there with cousins or with other people? Also, where are you going to be staying?â He eagerly revealed.Â
âWell itâs a small rancho and the festival is going to be in the pueblo. So-â I was saying, trying to respond to his questions before he cut me off.Â
âI donât know those terms,â He brattily exclaims. Heâs sitting with his legs sprawled out on the coach as his upper body laid back on the arm rest.Â
His tone hit a nerve. I breathed in, trying to be as patient as I could.
âWell you could ask nicely about it instead of interrupting me,â I scolded.Â
He stayed silent, knowing he couldâve been better, but kept his poker face on.Â
I very visibly rolled my eyes at him before continuing.Â
âPueblo is the main town, but itâs small so everyone knows each other. Rancho is where most of the people reside and have their homes. There are many different ranchos all around. Some of them are bigger than others,â I try to explain.Â
I look straight at him and he barely gives a nod.Â
âCan I continue what I was saying now?â I pettily asked him, now that I was done explaining terms to him.Â
âPlease, go on,â He insists, almost too nicely.Â
I let out an annoyed hum before continuing.Â
âThe festival is going to be in the Pueblo on the weekend. Thereâs going to be bailes, which means dances before you interrupt again, leading up to the weekend and the day of. Thereâs going to be live bands everywhere and cabalgatas, which are trails of people on horses.â I describe.Â
âSo youâre going to be there for the weekend?â Jude asks, thinking to himself: not too bad.Â
âNo, for a week,â I responded.Â
âA week?!â He yells, his thick accent coming through, straightening himself in his seat again.Â
âYes, a week, Jude!â I sternly repeat, sitting across from him.Â
He crosses his arms like a baby. I almost wanted to let out a cackle.Â
âFor what? Your festival is going to be on the weekend. Why would you possibly need to be there for so long?â He beckons sassily.
âHmm, I donât know Jude.â I question aloud to myself. âMaybe to visit my grandparents and spend some quality time with them. Or also hmm, let me think. The cousins Iâm going to be spending my time with, let me just party with them and dip the next day. No! Iâm going to spend time with the family that I donât get to see often,â I exclaim, getting frustrated with the way heâs acting.Â
âSo youâre going to be partying in Mexico?â He asks in a serious tone.Â
âAre you being serious? Is that all you got from what I just said?â I huffed, spreading my legs, not daring to touch his that were mere centimeters away from mine.Â
Jude lifts his brow, waiting for my response.Â
âOf course Iâm going to be partying Jude! Thatâs the point of the festival, itâs in celebration of spring,â I exasperated. Â
âThatâs a load of crap. What do you mean in celebration of spring?â He scoffs.Â
âItâs tradition. Itâs on the weekend of Easter so itâs an important weekend,â I flatly say.Â
Jude could tell that Y/N was getting angry. He doesnât blame her though, he was acting like a big baby. She never acted the way he was acting right now when he had to travel all the time or with his busy schedule.Â
âYou never answered my other questions,â Jude lets out, in a genuine tone this time.Â
âWell I couldâve since the beginning if you wouldâve just let me,â I state, slightly looking away from him.Â
He wanted to blurt out an apology but didnât.Â
I started, âIâm staying at my grandparents' home, where my (choose parent) grew up. My aunts and uncles live nearby too, as well as my cousins. At the festival Iâm going to be with my cousins and their friends. Which Iâve befriended in the past. Like I said, it's a small town so everyone knows each other.âÂ
âGuy friends?â Jude inquires, with a look.Â
âJude, is this what this is about?â I rolled my eyes.
âPartly yes. I just donât know your history over there. Is there something I should know about or be worried about?â He remarks.Â
âJude are you being serious?â I hissed.Â
âVery!â He exclaims loudly, swinging his arms in motion.Â
âI shouldâve known,â I grunt, rolling my eyes.Â
I get off of the couch, ready to walk away. Steam blows out of my ears as I storm past him.Â
Jude sits up and pulls me back before I was out of his reach, landing me on his lap.Â
âI just donât want a Mexican guy trying to win over your heart,â He whispers into my neck. My back pressed against his chest.Â
âYouâre annoying,â I murmur, facing away from him.Â
Jude only tightens his grip around my waist, pulling me closer to him. Nuzzling himself into my shoulder.Â
I try to pull away from him but he just elongates his hold.Â
I roll my eyes at him, sitting still in his embrace, knowing he can feel my stiffness against his touch.
âJust because of this Iâm going to play along with all the guys trying to get my attention.â I proclaim.Â
Jude unknowingly loosens his grip at the words.Â
âAnd trust me when I say thereâs a whole lot of them.â I taunt, getting up from his now ungripped hold.Â
I walk away from him and go into our room.Â
I grab my laptop and start looking for upcoming flights.Â
@yourusername posted a storyÂ
Jude was giving Y/N her space knowing thatâs what she needed right now.Â
He was mindlessly scrolling on twitter, trying to get his mind off things when something caught his eye.Â
Immediately eyeing the room Y/N was in.Â
He quickly went on Y/Nâs instagram account not believing his eyes.Â
He could give less fucks about her using his card. He didnât actually believe that she bought a ticket.Â
Sure he knew she was going regardless, but they just had an argument about it.Â
Jude barged into their room, Y/N was on her phone, laying in bed, acting as if Jude didnât just abruptly enter their bedroom.Â
âDid you just buy a ticket?â Jude presses in shock.Â
I hum in response.
See I had it planned all along once I had entered the room.Â
I posted the laptop, which showed me browsing through flights and Judeâs credit card. That clearly revealed his name, blocking out his numbers.Â
Once I snapped a photo with Judeâs card, I bought the plane ticket with my own banking account. Just using Judeâs card for the photo. But he doesnât know that.Â
I knew the story was going to gain a lot of traction and would somehow land on Judeâs socials.
Which it quickly did because heâs in the room now, a couple minutes after my post.Â
âDid you actually Y/N?â He asked, and I could tell he was asking seriously.Â
I looked up at him.Â
âYes. I did.â I reply nonchalantly.Â
âAre you being serious right now?â He asks, still in question.Â
âYes Jude, how many times do I have to repeat myself?!â I huff.Â
âOh okay, nowâ He nods . âI see how weâre doing this.â He says angrily. Inching closer to the bed where I laid.Â
âYeah, thatâs how weâre doing it because when I tried talking to you about it you just couldnât hear me out!â I say, finally yelling out. After trying to stay calm.Â
âYouâre right and Iâm sorry,â He apologies, standing right by me. âI shouldâve been more open. I just got jealous knowing that thereâs going to be guys there that are going to want you. I mean come on, you know that. Look at you!â He exclaims. âPlus theyâve known you way before I did. It just makes me feel some type of way.â He frowns.Â
I blush at his remark.Â
âIâm sure thereâs guys who are waiting for your arrival and it boils my blood because youâre mine, Y/N!â Jude blurts out.Â
I sit up and reach up to his tall figure, placing my arm around Judeâs shoulder. He leans down at my touch as his eyes melt into mine.Â
I pull his face down upon mine and lean into him. Fluttering my eyes closed and pressing my lips against his. He softly let his lips flow with mine.Â
He let himself fall onto the bed, on top of me.Â
âYou couldâve led with that,â I say, pulling apart from his lips as I wrap my arms around his upper back.Â
âI know. Iâm such an idiot!â Jude proclaims as he falls deeper into my arms.Â
His lips pressed against my cheek.Â
âYou own my heart Jude. Thereâs no one I would rather be with!â I whisper, placing my hands on his cheeks and pressing his lips on mine.Â
He let himself fall into our kiss.Â
I wrap my arms around his neck, pulling him in closer, passionately deepening our kiss.Â
Judeâs hand roams through my hair thatâs sprawled out on the sheets. The other is placed on my face, caressing my cheeks with his soft fingers.Â
âI love you Jude!â I murmured in between our kisses. âAnd just because thereâs guys who want me, they donât matter because I want you!â I emphasize, pressing my nose on his.Â
âOkay, thank you.â Jude nods, knowing he has nothing to worry about, pecking my lips.Â

@.y/nsupporter I didnât know I needed jude to be with a Mexican until now!!!
@.maridfanatic Not all the comments being about jude and y/n
@.guy-attending-the-event Itâs going to be my mission finding y/n and asking her to dance. I know for a fact she hasnât danced to banda since dating Jude
~
A couple of days have gone by since Y/N bought her ticket to Mexico and her trip was coming up soon.Â
Jude was scrolling through tiktok when he came across a video of someone speaking of Y/Nâs upcoming trip.Â
Jude and Y/N were used to people making posts about them so it didnât come as a surprise to Jude. Especially since it was made known that Y/N was going on a trip, due to the story post and tiktok repost.Â
The video played out of a girl speaking, âGuys, look at what I just found! So we all know Y/N reposted this video on tiktok where you can clearly see crowds of people in Mexico.â The tiktok started and began playing the video Y/N reposted. âYou can see the people in the video wearing typical Mexican apparel such as the tejanas (cowboy hats) which most of them are wearing.â The girl who posted the video said.Â
âSo, I got curious as to what all these people were doing just standing there and what the big deal is because that video got 30,000 likes. I searched up the place and the festival and if Y/N really is going there. Look at what sheâs going to be doing.â The girl closed off the statement before playing a video she found.Â
Jude watched the video that was played.Â
Video:Â
Jude was pretty surprised at how everyone partied at this festival based on the video. He didnât know it was that intense and hard. But he trusted Y/N to take care of herself, he knew she was responsible and wouldnât put herself in a situation he needed to worry about. But of course he still would.Â
Jude opened up the comments of the tiktok.Â
Comments:Â
@.user.name Dude I swear jude better be careful y/nâs going to have the time of her life!!
@.judextrent Is jude going too or just y/n cause i canât picture jude thereÂ
@.amexicangirlâsaccount y/n is better than me cause i would fall to my knees at the sight of a tall handsome charro
The last comment caught Judeâs attention and saw that that comment had a lot of likes and replies.Â
He pressed view replies under that comment.Â
@.amexicangirlsaccount y/n is better than me cause i would fall to my knees at the sight of a tall handsome charro
@.user<3 Same!! It has to be their attire because girllllÂ
@.user1My man is a charro and whenever he puts on his fits i remember why i fell for him all over again and whenever we dance and he has charro outfit itâs EVERYTHINGÂ
@.girlsname Youâre lucky thatâs my dream!Â
Jude didnât even realize Y/N was out of the shower and in the room, he was so invested in these last comments.Â
Y/Nâs POV:
I had just walked into the room after my shower, to find Jude deep in his phone.Â
The device being too close to his face, brows interlinked, and his skin perplexed.Â
âAre you okay?â I asked concerned.Â
He looked up from his phone, looking at me petrified.Â
âHowâd you get in here?â He asked, puzzled. I guess he realized how his question sounded as I furrowed my brows.Â
âI mean, sorry, I just didnât see you enter,â He fumbled his words.Â
âOk?â I say, confused.Â
I sat on my vanity, my back facing Jude.Â
I applied moisturizer on my face. Through the mirror I saw Jude turning off his phone and placing it on the bed beside him.Â
He seemed like he was pondering.Â
As I was grabbing my hair brush, I heard Jude ask, âBaby, what is a charro?â from behind me.Â
I turned around in my seat, baffled by his random question, gaping at him.Â
I didnât even know how to approach his question. Do I ask where he heard the word from or just answer his thought?Â
âI just watched this video of a girl speaking about your trip and where youâd be going. I was reading the comments and they mentioned it. I was just curious as to what that meant,â He tried playing it off smoothly.Â
I couldnât help but laugh at the calmness of his voice, knowing he was eager to know the answer.Â
I grabbed the brush and went to sit next to him in bed.Â
He looked at me ready for my response.Â
I couldnât help but smile.Â
âYouâre so funny Jude, I swear.â I say as my smile got bigger.Â
âLook hereâs the video,â He said, handing me his phone.Â
I watched as the girl depicted the video I reposted and went onto show the video she found of the festival.Â
âNot them doing research on where Iâm going,â I smiled, interested in the video.Â
âLiterally, I didnât even think of doing that.â He spoke, raising his brow.Â
I chuckled.Â
âYou know how passionate they are,â I smile.Â
âYou donât gotta tell me twice!â He mumbled, making me giggle. âIâm just glad they love you because I wouldnât be able to stand it if they didnât.â He says turning over to press his lips on mine. Melting at his soft peck.Â
âSo, what about charros?â I ask, going back to the original question.Â
âYeah, what are they?â He asked inquisitively.Â
âTheyâre guys who are dressed in a certain attire, who practice a certain horseback lifestyle. Itâs more of like a hobby but some take it more seriously than others. They do tricks on horses, Itâs pretty cool!â I explained.Â
Jude intakes the information and nods.Â
âWhy?â I ask, noticing his serious intake to it. âWhat were the comments?â Bringing up the comments he mentioned earlier.Â
Jude pulled up the comments and showed them to me.Â
âAre you serious, Jude?â I laugh looking at the comments, not taking him seriously.Â
âWhat?â He asked with a shrug. âI was just curious!â
âOkay, buddy,â I hum, knowing his slight jealous and possessive tendencies.Â
âYeah, yeah.â He says, looking away.Â
I smile at him, leaning closer to him kissing his jaw.Â
âI have Jude Bellingham, I donât need a charro,â I whisper seductively, pressing a kiss underneath his ear.Â
My hand was placed on the other side of his face, lightly scratching his sideburns.Â
Jude relaxed against my touch but I couldnât let him down that easily.Â
âPlus I already had a charro,â I hum with a smirk.Â
He immediately tenses under my touch and turns around to face me, pushing me away from him.Â
I start dying of laughter falling back onto the bed.Â
âIâm kidding!â I say as the tears start brimming in my eyes, from my constant laughter.Â
âI hate you, you know that?â He says annoyed, getting off the bed.Â
I sit up and he starts walking away.
I get up on the bed and jump on his back, wrapping my legs around his waist.Â
I put my arms around his neck but he doesnât hold me up, ignoring my touch.
âYou donât hate me, you love me!â I laugh as I place my head on his shoulder.Â
âNo.â He murmurs as he walks out the room as if I wasnât on him.Â
I started messing around with him, my hand grabbing onto his chin and squishing it as I moved his face around.
We got to the living room and he threw me on the couch.Â
I laugh my butt off as he just stands over my body tally.Â
âYouâre just so fun to rattle up baby and it doesnât help that you make it so easy!â I laugh.Â
âWhatever!â He mutters, turning around and walking away.Â
I slap his ass thatâs in perfect view from my position on the couch, knowing itâll get him more mad..Â
âI love you Judey!â I loudly exclaim as he ignores me, continuing to walk away.Â
~
The next weekend came around and I was packing my luggage.Â
Jude was watching me from the bed.Â
âIâm going to miss you while youâre gone baby!â Jude frowned from the bed.Â
I turned away from my clothes to his whining, smiling.Â
âMaybe I should go away more often so you can pay me with all this love!â I teased.Â
I continued folding my clothes and packing it all away.Â
âI canât wait to get all these guyâs attention too!â I say getting up from where the luggage was placed.Â
I could feel Judeâs glare on me.Â
I tried holding in my smile as I looked over at him.Â
He was death glaring me.Â
âYou know you think youâd be used to it by now,â I smile at him.Â
âNo, Y/N. Why would I get used to you saying youâre waiting for other guys' attention?â He grimaced.Â
âBecause you know itâs a joke!â I laugh.Â
âStill donât see me laughing,â He says with the most serious tone ever.
I chuckled at him. âOk babe,â I say dismissing him.Â
He stays silent.Â
âItâs okay babe. Donât worry Iâll spray our pillows with my perfume, so you can sniff it when you miss me,â I continue my teasing .Â
âIâm keeping my favorite panties of yours!â He proclaims.Â
âFor what?â I say taken aback.Â
âDonât worry about it,â He smirks.Â
âYouâre gross!â I shudder in thought.Â
Once I finished packing we both got ready for our dinner.Â
âJust know Iâm fucking you good before you leave. Reminding you of whatâs waiting for you when you come back!â Jude exclaims from behind me, pressing his dick against my ass before walking out the door.Â
âHave you bent over in this little dress after our reservation,â Jude says, bending me over from behind.Â
âJude!â I yell out, smacking his chest.Â

It was now the next day and after a long wonderful night (thanks to Jude đ) it was time to head to the airport.Â
Jude grumbled in bed as I opened my eyes. I removed the bed covers off me ready to get out of bed until Jude pulled me into a little spoon.Â
âDo you have to leave?â He mutters in his morning voice from behind.Â
I frown at his request.Â
âI promise the days will pass by in an instant,â I try to console. I intertwine my hand with his and press kisses on his soft skinned hand.Â
He sighs from behind me before placing my hair aside so that he could lay in between my neck.Â
I squirm at his touch causing him to giggle, which has me erupting in butterflies because of his beautiful laugh.Â
Iâm going to miss him more than anything while Iâm gone.Â
We both lay comfortably in silence and he tightens his grip around my figure. I donât want him to let go, ever.Â
