Aurora would never turn down the opportunity to get some shopping done all the while participating in a match meet up event. Maybe, if she’s lucky, she’ll bump into her match which according to her interview seems pretty great so far. The excitement was giving her the energy she needed and once she picked up a few things, she decided to stop by the event for some hot chocolate. “Oh this is is so cute,” she beamed, placing her bags on the table and looking over to the person beside her. “The Disney store had such a great sale so I might have gone overboard.” 

Timothy hadn’t ever ice skated before. Back in Kansas it would have been on a pond and that just sounded like a bad idea, and now Timothy just had never thought of doing it. Until now. “Okay, on a scale of 1-10 how hard would you say ice skating is?” Timothy asked as someone sat down next to him, “Because I kind of want to try it out, but I also don’t want to fall.”

Miguel and Sofia hadn’t had a chance to eat between leaving their meeting which meant that they were sitting in the food court looking completely out of place with their outfits from their meeting. And what Miguel had thought would be lunch had turned into a debat. 

Aidan had been ice skating with Sadie for a couple hours when he decided he needed a break. And while he knew the little girl thought that she could go on for hours, she probably needed one too. So he directed her to the crafts table and watched as he drank a hot chocolate. “You know, I think I’m getting too old for ice skating,” Aidan chuckled to the person next to him, “I don’t remember it causing me to hurt this much before.”

Kalani held his hands around a piping hot cup of cocoa. “Feels a little weird to be here,” he said to the person nearest him. “A lot of this is for kids and families, and I’m already done Christmas shopping. But I was curious about these Matched meet-ups.”

“So, I think that Hendrix is scared of Santa,” Emerald said, wincing a little as she tried to calm down the baby, “I tried to get a picture a couple times and every time I do he starts screaming once we get close. So I think that I’m just going to give up since Santa isn’t even that important to me.”

Lisa sat in the mall’s atrium, letting out a small sigh while her niece worked on one of the craft stations. Although her niece was her priority, Lisa had been caught up in back-to-back calls almost since arriving at the Winter Funderland event. “That’s not an offer, that’s an insult,” she replied, her voice terse with the person on the other end. While the other person spoke, her eyes were on her niece but she saw someone else approaching. “Actually, I’d prefer it if you would call back when you have something reasonable to discuss.” With that, she ended the call, and switched to viewing her email with a sigh, thinking aloud to the newcomer. “I swear, I think some people get some sort of sick pleasure out of wasting other people’s time.”
