Christmas Shopping at the Liverpool Met Quarter - Verdict from a Mum & a Teenager ! As readers of my blog know I have a deep love affair with Liverpool, the place is buzzing, it's easy to park, people lovely and about 15 miles from my home - I go most weeks . Evie had a Christmas shopping day from school today so we decided to find presents for our hard to buy for friends and family we wanted nice presents, some thing a little different and not to get mowed down by deranged Christmas shoppers ! So we headed to the Met Quarter in Liverpool - a little Oasis of luxury not far from Liverpool One. It is a small, intimate but buzzing shopping centre and houses a range of designer shops such as Armani, Hugo Boss @allsaints Links of London and for especially for the Ladies Marvellous @maccosmetics @illamasqua and Jo Malone. There are a few places to eat - the brilliant Carluccios, Costa Coffee Caffe Novecento and a pop up Brazillian Restaurant as well so plenty of choice ! We started in Evie's favourite shop - Mac Cosmetics which was heaving busy - definately the quarters most popular shop ! Evie was in make up heaven and chose a lip liner and her favourite Velvet Teddy lipstick . We headed over to Illamasqua and the shop is gorgeously laid out with some stunning and beautifully presented palettes - they have a great range of high end party palettes and an exquisite cream eye shadow palette which is going on my Christmas list. or more likely because I can't wait popping back to get it We popped over to Jo Malone and bought a candle for my best friends Christmas present and then I spied Mococo jewellery πππIn the window they have a gorgeous range Called Uno de 50 - they have a gorgeous dragonfly necklace I've fallen for, some exquisite bangles and some amazing earrings! Let's say I'm going to be having a few words with Santa π πΌ. We popped into Paperchase for some stocking fillers and wrapping paper and Jack Wills where we picked up some pjs as presents for the fashion conscious teens in the family ! I lusted over exquisite shoes in Kurt Geiger, stunning evening dresses in.Miss Francesca Couture and beautiful clothes in Phase Eight . What we had intended to be a 15 minute pop in lasted over two hours with Evie popping into Urban Calm for a quick French manicure whilst I collapsed on their Sofa ! This visited was ended with a much needed caffeine hit at Costa Coffeeand a purchase of some gorgeous flowers from the florists. To sum up we loved it ! We got some lovely Christmas presents for difficult to buy for people ! The met quarter has An intimate but buzzy vibe, a great range of high end shops, places to eat and somewhere to get pampered ! - why go anywhere else ? More details www.metquarter.com
