Methane Rain by Alek Stark from 808 Syncs In C Minor - Madrid electro
Titan's Halo Records strikes again with 808 Syncs In C Minor, a flamboyant release by Madrid's own electro veteran Alek Stark, inspired by the cycle's of Saturn's mysterious satellite Titan. This record includes a couple of remixes from the secretive professor Heinrich Mueller. Herr Stark got immersed last year in the conduction of a series of quantic investigations with his particular hadron collider, the TR-808. In those, Alek's Roland drum machine was identified as being the motor to which he synchronized in C Minor the following analog weaponry: TB303DF, SH101, Roland Jupiter 6 Europa, VP330, Oberheim Xpander, Korg Mono/Poly, Modular System QSS44, Q960. The results were several analogue electro experiments rich in cosmic textures from which the Titan's Halo colony had the difficult task to chose only 3: Titan's Cycle, 94 k and Methane Rain being selected for vinyl cut. Nones of those tracks have not been edited after its recording, nor arranged in the studio, being the mastering process the only additional step applied to the tracks after their live creation. The sleeve design was created by following a strict Russian constructivism work-ethics by Alek Stark himself, who has also mastered all tracks for a perfect vinyl cut.
