    To some degree, Sarana is aware that she is conventionally quite beautiful. It would be difficult for her to say or think otherwise, when her life has been riddled with people who would ask to travel with her for the sole reason of spending time with the medium, flirtations from traveling partners and villagers left utterly unrequited on her side, declarations and letters of love, ones enraged over her rejection—the works. Long golden curls, striking red eyes, wearing clothes with an elegant silhouette, carrying herself in a refined manner, the in-control aura she exudes—these are some of the things Sarana  has learnt some people around her consider ‘beautiful’. And while it could very easily be seen as something that hinders her in some regards, Sarana has instead tried to view it from another perspective—to fuel her desire to take care of herself; motivation, from within the woman, to continue spending that little extra time taking care of her hair, or the like. If Sarana knows that she possesses beauty, and feels beautiful, it can be a nice pick-me-up for days she might otherwise struggle to get through. After all, the medium lives and extremely unpredictable and dangerous lifestyle—anything she can grasp onto is something the blonde will take.

    That is why, even though she often wears a cloak that covers most of herself up, she will still meticulously take care of her hair and position curls; why she wears beneath it outfits that are aesthetically quite pleasing, and incorporate intricate designs and embroidery, while remaining practical. It is not for the people around her, but instead for Sarana, herself. And that is where parts of her beauty come from, too—the confidence she places in how she looks, mixing in with the extremely composed and withheld demeanour the woman puts on.
