Hey plauntie? Would the newspaper method work for covering up and killing coarse tall fescue grasses? The type that clumps up? My mom is trying to set up garden boxes but can't dig anything up and I wanted to help set something up so she didn't have to dig or buy anything extra
Yup used it for that. Cut the grass down to ground level first. Leave the cut grass lying there and paper and mulch over the whole lot. The cut grass and roots will rot into compost under the paper and enrich the soil.
