“First Enemy Encounter” was actually the mental prompt I had for this guy. Drawn during my warm-ups on Aseprite, I thought they looked cute!
I wanted to use them again even though they’re one of the most simple designs I’ve ever created. No clothing, three colors on their palette, looking like a raptor version of the Imps from Doom...
I swear to you the resemblance was 100% unintentional
So I pondered in my chair, “What could a simple design like this do?”
What about turning into simple versions of more interesting designs? Enter the concept of being a Morpher; their ability to shapeshift is their specialty. Objects, other people, anything is fair game. The stronger the Morpher is, the more they can alter their form. Skilled ones can alter their color on command!
