You remind me what love feels like.
Not something easy.
Not something safe.
But real.
The kind I thought Iâd lostâ
until you.
And somehowâŚ
thatâs enough.

Iâve been thinking about a Remus (or ig any ship that includes him?) x metamorphmagus!reader who is always turning into other people in order to mess with people. despite them being very good at acting and visually/audibly indistinguishable from their target, once the moon comes close and his senses are heightened Remus is able to recognize them from scent alone. I also think heâs observant enough that even when his senses are as normal as they can be, he is able to notice little ticks and habits that break through the disguise. I donât think he would ruin their fun, observing and if he isnât in pain even helping with their mischief.
Itâs just such a cute little concept to me, and I think it could be fun to play with, so I would love to see if you can come up with a little Drabble or something about it! Thank you mother â¤ď¸ I love confident and mischievous readers with quiet but enabling characters
this was a cute concept! thanks for the request! also, I didn't intend for this to be Potter!reader, but with the way the story went it ended up feeling like it had to be potter reader hahaha
Remus Lupin x Potter!reader who is a metamorphmagus [800 words]
CW: fem!reader, 'your mama' insults, talking about students getting it on in a broom closet
âNever thought Iâd find myself happier to see this Black than the other one.â Barty Crouch Junior drawled as he sauntered into the library looking innocent for all intents and purposes - but Remus knew better.
âSod off, Junior.â Sirius sneered back as he glared at the Slytherin from behind his book.Â
âOh, someoneâs getting off, I can assure you.â He jeered; a mischievous sparkle shining in his eye giving Remus not nearly enough time to prepare for the coming theatrics.Â
âOh? Could you hear me and your mum last night?â Sirius replied haughtily, turning a page of his book for show. âIâll try to make sure weâre quieter next time, but sheâs a screamer.âÂ
Hogwarts Library - 971 words - Remus did not go to Hogwarts - @wolfstarmicrofic
Ever since Sirius had been eighteenâfinally free from Hogwartâs endless Libraryâand went into the real world, heâd been quite a slut. You can call him that. Itâs how he calls himself.
Jumping from fling to fling. Enjoying the sex, but running away when things got real.
Once, he had a real relationship, but after half a year, Sirius had broken up.
Because it felt like they were just friends with flaming good sex.
Because he had said Sirius wasnât invested enough.
Because he had cheated.
However, a little over a year ago, Sirius had met Remus Lupin. A man who was his complete opposite.
Remus had had one real relationship; a marriage. It lasted five years, the last of which with a son. He and his wife had come to the conclusion that it would be better to split when the fights kept increasing, realising parting amicably would be most benefitting for everyone.
They had met when Sirius was hired to get Remusâ new house hex free. Like a little romance story, Remus had kept finding excuses to call him. After the third time, Sirius had dared to ask him for a drink.
Remus was twenty-six, a year divorced and had a son of two years old. Sirius was twenty-seven, single since forever and had a whole villa of attachment issues.
Nevertheless, when Remus told him over a coupe of chocolate ice (their second date) that he would like a third date, but had to be sure Sirius was invested, Sirius had instantly agreed.
And he was invested. When Remus took him to the aquarium and held all the doors open, he blushed like a schoolboy. When the son was with his mom and Sirius invited Remus for dinner, they cuddled up on the sofa all night long.Â
Sirius stayed. He met Remusâ child, Teddy, a shy kid with his fathers curls which were bright blue colored most of the time. A Metamorphmagus. A little wonder.
One month in, Teddy met Padfoot. Sirius had spent two full hours playing with the boy. He had wagged his tail happily at the kidâs delighted âdoggy!â, had aborted the ball countless times. He ended up lying in the grass, Teddyâs little body flush against his soft fur, the color of his hair matching it exactly. That was the first time his heart was warmed by a weird fatherly feeling.
Three months in, Remus called him to please get Teddy from the day nursery because he had to work overtime.
Five months in, Sirius got Teddy from the day nursery every Wednesday to take him to the park. Teddy was unstoppable in his everlasting stories, and Sirius found himself glued to each and every meaningless word.
Eight months in, Sirius officially moved in, since he had practically been living there for ages anyway. He still went on a date with Remus every Friday, when Teddy was with his mother.Â
Twelve months in, they were still going stronger than ever. Sirius was completely sure this was all that he wanted for the rest of his life. Remus was his everything. Teddy his son in every way possible.
Nonetheless, it was a very average Wednesday when Sirius knew he would never be able to leave. He had just picked his boy up from pre-school for a walk to the park. Teddy was giggling while feeding the ducks when Sirius frowned. Teddy looked different. His hair was the same as ever, almost neon blue because of his enthusiasm and unruly as ever.Â
Still, the side profile looked weird.
âTeddybear, come to Pa for a moment.â He was still overcome with that lovely warm feeling every time that term was used. Remus had always been Dad or Dada, so the man had figured it was only logical to call Sirius Teddyâs Pa.
âItâs practically short for Padfootâ he had said, like that justified it. Teddy had copied in no time. There for nine months, and already Teddyâs Pa.
Sirius had cried ugly tears that evening.
Teddy turned and it only took Sirius a few seconds to see what had changed. Then Sirius had to use all his willpower to not burst out in similar tears again.
Because there was Teddy, with his Dadâs hair, and his Momâs eyes. His Dadâs ears and his Momâs mouth.Â
But that was the shape of Siriusâ nose. Siriusâ chin. Siriusâ freckles.
He could do nothing but stare while the little boy padded in his direction. âPaaaa,â he whined, making grabby hands. âUppies!â he demanded.
Sirius obeyed, settling him on his hip, looking at him again.Â
Sirius was sure nothing of it was deliberate. Teddy switched hair colors with his moodswings and copied the nose of every new animal he saw.
Still, he had to blink furiously when the little nose scrunched up and the little hands gripped his cheeks. âPa sad?â he asked.
He shook his head. âIâm very happy, mon ours.â
His eye was almost poked out. âWet,â the boy declared.
A raspy chuckle left him. âI know, mon loulou. Iâm just happy. Theyâre happy tears.â
âWhy?â
Sirius picked up the abandoned bread, handing it over to Teddy so he could also give the ducks the remaining bits. âBecause you look like me.â
Teddy frowned. âNo, I look me.â
Siriusâ heart couldnât take this. He was quite sure it would comburst. âJust a little bit. You have paint on your face, like me.â
When Teddy had met Sirius, he had been intensely intrigued by the little dots on Siriusâ face. Maybe it had just been a matter of time before he would copy that.Â
Teddy giggled. âPretty.â Sirius smiled, a tear finally leaving his eye. Remusâ son, Siriusâ son, now even in appearance, leaned in to kiss it away, leaving a huge spot of saliva. Sirius didnât care.Â
âVery pretty,â he agreed.

imagine hornkus is a metamorphmagus or some other shapeshifter of sorts and he decided to look like barty but he's been looking like him for too long and forgot how to change back
Morphing into you
Malfoy was a Metamorphmagus. One that lost all control of his abilities around Harry, and he wanted to know why. Needed to know why.
Or the one where Draco changes everything just by being himself.
Excerpt:
âPotterâŚâ
Harry wanted to move closer, wanted to pick up Malfoyâs hands but he didnât think it would go over well, not with how Malfoy was already edging away from himâkeeping the door in his line of sight.
âIf the answer is no because of me then youâre lying to yourself,â Harry whispered, forcing himself to stay where he was even as Malfoy moved further and further from him. âIf itâs a mating call, then let me answer it.â
Malfoy bit his lip, skin changing to a tan as his hair grew dark and became a buzz cut.
âYou canât mean it.â
âWhy? Why not?â
âBecause this isnât me!â Malfoy hissed, gesturing around him as his features began to change shape rapidly, not settling for anything longer than a few seconds. âI donât know who to look like!â
âThen just be you.â
Pain flashed across Malfoyâs face before his features began to become recognizable. âThat isnât me either.â
And with that, Malfoy was gone.
