i was so confused on the style differences for like a solid ten minutes but i kinda just wrote it off. got to the bottom of the blog and scrolled back up and only then did i see the bio
anyways gorgeous art on both counts keep it up utensil gang
laughing my ass off at utensil gang
no yeah fork also wants to post art occasionally so I post it here since it's to tedious to maintain an art account
Thank you for continuing to make Majorscythe art I love you
I'll continue to make it for the people πββοΈ
Iβve come to notice people are scared to even place pyro and Scottβs characters together, there use to be a lot of art all the time, but now only if there is a third character there, Ficβs have been taken down. Even a friend of mine who doesnβt even POST. They use to draw Pyro a lot, both shipping and non-shipping, they barely draw him now, much less with another character.
Yeah, the once excitement to make works of Pyro's characters has died down a whole lot.
Being scared of being harassed and or shunned from a big part of the fandom is one reason on why a lot of people now avoid drawing Pyro's characters.
But another is also the fact that what Pyro and Maddy have shown is entitlement over fanworks, because if all fanworks made of their characters, no matter how self indulgent, are thought as "gifts" to them or something they have the right to revoke from being made, then I can see why a lot of people would rather not draw their characters at all.
If artists are never allowed the freedom to create what they want, and their works can be made "illegal" the next day, then why would artists want to create works of a character when you know ccs and their mods are keeping their watchful eye over you?
I know a lot of Pyro's defenders and mods hate the word "policing" being used, but it is exactly that, a lawless place such as fandom where people create works on characters in their own free time, sometimes taking hours is now governed by someone with a larger following, using their influence to decide what you can and cannot make total.
It's mostly why I draw ship art of Pyro's characters only, I want people in this fandom to post what they want for themselves and not grown ass adults, and I don't want to show support for creators who want to throw their following around because people are playing with dolls, frame those people shipping characters as "perpetrators" and those on their side as the "good guys", like a black and white scenario which is so incredibly manipulative even if the intention may not be manipulative as I hope is the case.
Make things for yourself, not for two adults which in the end of the day have full control over what they want and don't want to see on the internet by filtering tags like the rest of us.
Ccs especially have full control on canon and the true intentions behind their characters, but they cannot sit there and act hurt because someone put their characters in a romantic relationship in another story or headcanon.
If we allow censorship of what we find problematic such as "shipping", then it's not only going to stop at what people find problematic, and could very well branch out into ccs then banning their characters being drawn disabled, or plenty of other things, in which case would that be okay?
Its a shitty situation to be in the fandom at this time, but I encourage everyone to make things for themselves because while there are a lot of loud voices defending Pyro and Maddy, there are also a lot who have shown to still want to see more works created by the fandom, for the fandom, despite a cc making it "illegal" now, that won't change people thinking that those characters could still be cute together romantically, it will only affect how safe people will feel to talk and create in these spaces.
Are you okay with people writing NSFW fics inspired by your art?
fuck yeah
I'd love that

I'm an anime only, but it just occured to me the possibility that Dera was supposed to be the Third Party to inherit Left and Right since he had the jade pendant β after all, everytime we are around Dera, not once had Sayuu-sama pointed out where his Daemons are if he even has one (either that, or his daemon's specialty is hiding. Not even sure if ths house daemon belongs to him or the Tadera Clan as a whole).
Becaue I just love the idea that knowing Yuru is gonna go out into the world where he doesn't know who to trust and relied on, Dera decided to have Left and Right be contracted to him β acknowledging the fact they will be loyal to Yuru and gave him an ally and guardians that Yuru can trust no matter what. Which is something he needed once he realized everything he knows and loves are a lie.
Or I might just give him too much credit π
Nick Wagner was the most interesting for me when he was a foil to the team instead of an ally
Like, the idea that he could use people like pawns for the sake of single-mindedly solving mystery was honestly such a good way to contrast both Karadec's by-the-book method or Morgan's more chaotic method
I would love if Nick Wagner can get away with a lot of skivy investigative method β just like getting the usb stick in Ep 18 β with mix results that allow room for any discourse of policing standard. A grim look of reality peeking into the narrative if the writers wanted to be bold.
Tying it up to the lost of his fiance would be even better, the way his grief push him into risking other people's life for his own closure that could put Morgan be introspective with the Roman Case. Even better had Nick died in the pursuit of the mystery, it would make Morgan haunted since she might be looking at her own future
I wanted Nick Wagner to be a sympathetic asshole instead of a redeemable one. I wanted there to be flavor to the cast so the characters can butt head more with each other. I want him to be dickish but entertaining that made me miss him being an asshole instead of glad I don't have to watch him awkwardly flirting into the most cliche relationship drama
I can't believe I'm saying this to a male character, but the point I'm making is that Nick Wagner deserve better than being a love interest
I knew.
I knew from the quality of the anime that a lot of investment was put to it. I knew one look at the MC that I would fell in love with him. I knew when Hiromu Arakawa-Sensei fingerprint is all over it than there's 90% chance I'm going to love it and 70% chance I'm going to be obsessed with it.
But man, episode 1 of Yomi no Tsugai and Arakawa was not pulling any punches as she opens up with a *spoiler alert* MASS MURDER!!!
But what's most compelling about the situation is how from the audience's pov; we can't be sure who is right side of history or even if there is a right side AT ALL!
Yuru, the MC, have had his entire life and destiny hidden and lied about by, most likely, the entire adult of the village for some reason.
Asa, the twin, has been implied to be thrown away. Maybe considered as bad omen. But also lead a massacre of the entire village who most likely has done her wrong.
Both are victims to completely different sides.
At a glance, the party with a military operation and has armed weaponry ambushing an entire village of mostly helpless citizens is obviously the guilty party. Heck, even if they're not. Their response is absolutely excessive and unjustifiable.
But then the story made a great execution of making us question, "What did the grandma and the adult villagers do?" Like, there's a reasonable doubt for us to think the village DID something wrong so unrelated people ended up paying the price.
The nuance it was capable of showing is *chef kiss*
Looking forward to the next episode
