Confession; I get anxious when cosplaying male characters. I've always been convinced that my face is too soft and feminine for male-coded characters (which is why I always end up with bishies). So when I did my makeup test for Lacroix (pic) I was so nervous and anxious and felt really bad. I don't think it turned out good enough, and I know I push myself hard, and it's poison for my confidence. But. My point with this post is however, that even though you might feel like you're doing a shit job at cosplay, the important part is to work on that confidence and keep trying! So I wanted to make this a positive thread where we can comment and learn from eachother; What is your best advice for gaining cosplay confidence? What's your best trick to feel better when all your cosplays feel like crap? Reblog the post and add your own advice! Let's help each other!
