#mesh editing

okay, so i’ve been wanting to make some accessory amputations (or congenital missing limbs) that aren’t just prosthetics for my sims -- missing forearm, or legs they can wear so that they can take on and off the prosthesis, you know?  (i’ve also been wanting to make some facial abnormalities -- is there a better word for that, disabled tumblr? i should know this, i have MULTIPLE friends with various craniofacial conditions -- because the ONLY time i can get that kind of preset in my game is Halloween and even then they’re not always accurate, and that really fucking bothers me, but anyway i digress.)   i knew it had to be something i could do, because i’ve got things like @natalia-auditore‘s brilliant headless accessory etc. why not use that power for diversity?

ANYWAY i finally got one of them to a place where i was happy, was all psyched, ready to upload and test and it wouldn’t ...work. 

why wouldn’t it work. why wasn’t it.....oh shit, i made it in blender 2.92 

okay well let’s open it in 2.76! oh. oh we may experience data loss. 

So, as you may have figured out, it’s gone. or it’s saved, but. not in a functional way.

IS THERE A WAY TO CONVERT IT SAFELY, SIMBLR? 

Today I decided to teach myself how to start creating meshes for the Sims 4 custom content. I followed a tutorial by IllogicalSims on YouTube, and while it took approximately two hours, it finally came together.

It’s very rough, not the best looking piece and ran into a lot of issues not covered in the tutorial (not at the fault of anyone, just my software) but it’s finished. So is my patience! I tried to go with a steel table top and double box concrete stand but the boxes are so close together it looks more like a glitch than a design feature. Download and additional images under the cut.
