I like how Leia, Luke, and the original droids have reduced roles in this new trilogy.

And how the og 3 are dying off or stepping down.

Because it shows that their part in this story is over. It's time for the next generation of heroes to take a stand. That means BB-8, Rey, Finn, Poe, and Rose. They're the new heroes. It's their time to take the failures and successes of the original 3 and learn from them and do better.

It's a message in the movie that's really important to today's audience. It tells us we need to step up.

However the work luke, leia, and Han did is also super important too. They sacrificed so much during this film and the last to pave the way for the new protagonists. They know that it won't be them guiding the galaxy to a new future, but they're going to leave the next generation behind with more help than they had.

They leave finn, rey, poe, and rose with hope. And that's important too.

(HENCE WHY THAT LAST SCENE WITH THE CHILDREN TELLING THE STORY OF LUKE SKYWALKER IS SO IMPORTANT. THAT KIND OF STORY INFLUENCES CHILDREN IN MORE WAYS THAN I THINK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND. MOST OF WHAT I BELIEVE IN AND STRIVE FOR WAS CEMENTED INTO MY HEAD BY THE HEROES I DOLIZED AS A CHILD. THE BOY WHO LOOKS INTO THE HORIZON, LIKE EVERY OTHER SKYWALKER, WILL BECOME GREAT BECAUSE HE DESIRES CHANGE. HE WANTS TO HELP PEOPLE LIKE LUKE DID

I just don’t understand why who he’s married to is an issue in regards to what type of movies he makes, especially when the woman in question isn’t problematic and/or racist (as far as we know).
