Wanderers - Progress Report

This week I sat down and started converting all of my separate Google Doc files of Wanderers into the single Word document that will (hopefully) turn into the finished book before too much longer. As I sifted through the first 186 pages of typesetting, my initial reaction was, OMG what was I thinking!

While Explorers deals with Costas' speech impediment, and has samplings of Shoshone (much more of that in Scattered to the Winds), and Ethos has its share of modern and ancient Greek, and Mettle has some Spanglish and Defender has all of its Polynesian / Micronesian / Melanesian / Chamorro words and names, Wanderers has more of Costas, Appalachian accents, and Trini. Let me just say that this is more fun with the spell checker than I ever imagined.

More fun than ancient Egyptian from Meryre, and Forest Elephant from The Ghost and the Volcano.

Only about ten chapters left to write. I think I can see the light (volcano?) at the end of the tunnel.

On the positive side, I think I've finally mastered pagination, and maybe even a table of contents. Pay no attention to what they say about new dogs and old tricks. Wait - strike that - reverse it.I'll leave you with a Wandering Spider, and a quote.
