Kinda funny how you described how Pen feels about the living like that. Cos I'm a a Florist in a family business. So I have been around flowers all my life. And I instantly got what you meant with how Pen feels 🤣
I was a florist for over a decade. :) It's most likely why there are a lot of flower references with my writing.
I think Pen would love minimart like he loves the NM. Mostly because minimart is an extension of them. Pen would also become very protective of minimart because I think they would feel a sense of responsibility to protect this little one that is an aspect of their friend and the world around them.
The Pen baby ask made me wonder if Pen and the Night Marked would be able fight back against the Knowing. Like, you said that you do not want an OP MC but what about them as an entity rater than the humansona?

I am very excited to actually get going on the Penn route. I think when I go back and fully edit book 2, there is going to be a lot more addition to him/her. Right now, there are so many different branching arcs that I feel like the smaller details have gotten lost in the shuffle. So I am actually looking forward to bulking that up entirely.
