One thing I am really enjoying about Iron Blooded Orphans is they aren’t playing around when it comes to the tête-à-têtes concerning relationships and feelings. Something that the Japanese are KNOWN for dancing around the subject of.
Everyone was freaking out earlier this year over Yuri On Ice!!! But those scenes between Shino and Yamagi ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL. Add on top of that the relationship that developed between Merribit and Nady, the heavy suggestions that something was going to happen between Lafter and Akihiro, and this awesome love triangle they have going on between Atra, Mika, and Kudelia AND I JUST HAVE TO SAY THAT IT ADDS SUCH A BELIEVABLE LAYER TO EVERYONE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MANNER and makes you really care for their safety causing you to yell at your device and thank god you live by yourself.
Seriously guys, Gundam Wing was the reason I fell in anime fandom hell at the tender age of 10 watching it on toonami with my older brother and Iron Blooded Orphans has revived those intense feelings of obsession with space travel, mechas, and the gundam world in general. AND the correspondences and scenes that I used to beg for in Gundam Wing (1XR for life!!) I am finally getting in Iron Blooded Orphans.
