Once and Into the Woods? :D
Once: Favorite music genre and song?
Ugh, this is such a hard one! Probably alt/indie rock for the genre, and Flyswatter by Eels for the song
Into the Woods: Bravest moment?
This one time when I was about 9 or 10 I decided that I wanted to do one of the jumps in the snow park while my mom and I were up night skiing and Snoqualmie (this is pre broken leg from skiing). Now, keep in mind, I was literally the most cautious child growing up. My best friend since I was like 6, merkinzer, was always the daring one. Iβd be like, βhey, Kinzie, you jump off the dock backwards first!β or βyou rollerblade down the hill firstβ. Iβd make her try things first, and, once proven safe, Iβd follow her. So, anyways, yeah, super cautious kid.
So I picked the biggest one and my mom skied almost to the base of it. I was pretty far up the hill when I shouted down to her, βIS THIS LOW ENOUGH?β to which she gave me the thumbs up. So I went into a tuck and barreled down the hill and positively launched off the jump. Tiny 9 year old me got about 4 feet of air and it was the most exhilarating thing ever. There was, of course, the brief moment of terror when I didnβt think I would land it, but somehow I did. I totally freaked my mom out, who thought i was just going to slowly meander down the hill and over the jump but saw me rocket into the air at high speeds.
Iβve probably done braver things, but I canβt remember them, and this was probably the first brave thing I ever did. It was the first time I tried something even remotely scary without having someone else try it first so I could see it was safe. And it was AWESOME. Of course, I am nowhere near as cautious as I used to be, and literally nothing scares me anymore, which, in itself, scares me a little bit.
