Merindah's reaction to an innocent MC being kidnapped would be a maelstrom of anguish, fear, and unwavering determination. Her heart would shatter at the thought of her beloved child in peril. Swiftly, she would channel her regal poise into action, urging the King to order all available resources to mount a relentless pursuit. Her fierce motherly love would fuel her every move, and she would stop at nothing to bring her precious child back safely, her resolve unyielding even in the face of danger as she herself would insist on being part of the search party.

Holidays around the Fantastic Beyond seemed to be rather hectic. Patrons would come in in seas and waves as the staff would hurriedly try to accommodate the sudden influx of people. But the one thing that had remained unfazed by this....was the manager. The same one who would stand on the rooftop every weekend with his small glass of scotch neat half full. Today, was not exception to this. However, it was a Thursday instead of the weekend. Today, he would install the festive lights that would hang around the rooftop. They were brightly colored icicles and Jaro was not a fan of the freezing and biting cold air that nipped at his face.

Half of the arrangement still hung and reached the ground. Jaro stood watching the patrons enter his establishment with care. Each group more giggly than the rest. Each group leaving just as monumentally fucked up as the last. Which meant that his bartender was doing his job right for once. No need for him to go inside just yet. Rubbing his hands together, Jaro watched as a ginger woman walked passed the Fantastic Beyond.

It was almost therapeutic for the enigma of a woman to be out by herself. It had been ages since she went to a bar by herself. However, it had also been too long since she had went to bed at nearly 11 o’clock at night. Finding it easier to deal with the world around her when she was a grandma and went to bed at an early hour. Since Hayden was letting her off earlier these days. It was almost like he was being nicer to her in the days since the boys had broken her confidence at work. Overhearing their conversation on her headset was not something she had intended on doing.

Meghan had ordered something both festive and potent. Peppermint being her go to flavor around this time of year since she loathed eggnog. Which most everyone else loved. When the bartender slid her her drink, Meghan hadn’t even looked at her cup before she took a drink. Her nose immediately scrunching upon the thick texture of the drink. Looking down, it was now obvious to her that her drink had been switched or mistaken for someone else’s.

“Hey!” she called over the sound of Santa Baby playing through the speakers, “This is eggnog and Kahlua! I asked for peppermint!”

But the bartender simply turned his back and made another drink for someone else. A heavy sigh passed through her lips as she felt the weight of the seat next to her shift.
