Snotlout’s nicknames for Merida are My Fiery Angel,My Curly Haired Goddess and My Dragonheart Princess.

Merida’s brothers often interrupt Merida and Snotlout mainly before they kiss which annoys Snotlout.

Merida and Snotlout’s dads were rivals which stirred a forbidden love at one point between Snotlout and Merida.

Merida’s nicknames for Snotlout are My Big Oaf,Snotty,My Short King.

Snotlout became king when he married Merida which the kingdom was weary about due to Snotlout’s ego.

Snotlout and Merida end up having a son and daughter.

It is great fun to edit Merilout again! Thank you SO MUCH to   @audreyspektorworldfor the mask of Merida blowing her hair! The other masks are my own.

PLOT:

Spitelout and Snotlout are one of the first official Viking representatives from Berk and Spitelout does not trust Merida because she is King Fergus's daughter. He hatches a plan for Snotlout to woo Merida and get close to the family to become king himself. But Snotlout has already been in a secret relationship with Snotlout before and he is easily distracted by her sword training.

At dinner Snotlout does his best to follow his father's instructions to be manly and impressive but it backfires. And when Elinor announces that the lords will send their sons to compete for Merida's hand Snotlout and Merida are outraged. Fergus and Elinor never even considered a Viking as a son-in-law, even if it is the Chief's cousin.

Elinor finds out about Snotlout's affair and demands that they set it right publicly so that Merida is free to be courted by the lords. But then Merida reveals the betrothal necklace she has been wearing all this time and Snotlout tells Elinor that he is more important to her daughter than she realized. Snotlout had already proposed to Merida before his father told him of his infiltration plan. Angry and hurt, Snotlout and Merida leave the castle.

and also because my brain has developed an au for years now that is basically “everything after httyd 1 is the same but Merida joins the gang at some point in rob” and recently it was like “ok, but... highland episode? something festive happenig? the guys in kilts??” and I’m going hogwild about it.
