Hardwired...
Hey passionate reader! This was unexpected but I finished Hardwired by Meridith Wild. It was shorter than i thought. it was only 270 pages long. I didn’t love this book nor hated it. But I didn’t like the main character so much. Well not that I didn’t like her, I just found her annoying. The problem with Erica the protagonist, is that shes supposed to be Identifiable. And she just wasn’t. I did like her college back story. And the only reason I enjoyed it is because of the realism it brought to the book. The trauma she went through is real life shit. and women in general go through this more than what we are told via news. So for me, its a huge reminder of the times we are living in and how far women have yet to go. I didn’t like the abrupt ending. I felt like the cliffhanger was way too abrupt and felt something wanting. That excitement that usually comes from a cliffhanger is missing for sure. That felling that makes you want to continue reading the next book in the series isn’t there. Overall I still think it’s a good book but I want to finish the series before I give my entire opinion on whether or not its worth it. If you have made it this far.
