Outside, the war for the Atmos still wages, but beyond the smoldering ashes that paint the once open blue skies with hazardous smog and wind-strewn debris, in this moment, there is only security with family
The thing is, the raptors called Stork a frog as an insults because the terradon scientist are frogs (as seen by them ribbeting and their vocal sacts inflating) so, what do you guys think merbs are based on?
I thought maybe Stork is half merb half terradon because his skin is darker and greener than the other merbs we saw but-
u know what i think was peak design on storm hawks’ part? those little gill-like marks on merbs’ sides…absolutely mint
It’s this level of subtle character species specific deep lore that really butters my muffins ~

Some scruffy lil merb sketches. I love the show, I love Stork, but I just do not understand how that face of his works, so I did away with the show's model and gave him an actual muzzle. These were done mostly to help myself get more comfortable with how I draw him and other merbs.
At some point I should do a deep dive on my lore headcanons for these guys. Maybe. Depends if people are interested.
This guy was definitely a foreman of a motorized rifle company in a previous life.
Kerner Olathe is Hector's younger sister and a flight engineer whose specialty is providing support to the squadron through technical equipment.
Smart, resourceful and eccentric, the merbian girl is able to craft engineering wonders from available materials in a short time, but she often lacks the incentive to channel her energy towards reaching new heights. From a paper clip and an elastic band, she will easily create a helicopter ready to conquer the top of the stratosphere, and from a pair of wire jumpers - a compact mining platform suitable for exploring the Far Side of Atmos. However, Kerner rarely uses her full potential, as it is easier for her to engage in routine like repairing household appliances since the Cenozoic era.
Kerner, unlike Hector, is more calm. Many consider her to be indifferent, although in fact her neutrality is due to her desire to remain in the shadows. The ability to adapt to any conditions allows Olathe to consistently support the crew, despite the apparent indifference to the world. Age - 15 y.o., height - 170 cm.
