Mephity is not as high up there for my otp’s as it used to be

So I think it’s a combination of things that contributed to this… happening. Probably like problems from recent RP’s and my muse’s feelings regarding those problems. It could possibly be OC’s I’ve made for future plot things and just developing those characters and REALLY LIKING THEM. It could just be work

But I’m not going to sit here and be like ‘yeah! Mephity!’ when that’s not how i’m feelin’.

I mean, I still… like the pairing and I still ship it, just not with as much vigor as I used to. And it might just be me lately. Like I said, I think it’s a combination of things that’s making it kinda die down in my mind. I still love the fuck out of Mighty and Red but holy fuck

And it might just be… plot things going on. Might just be me being stupid. Might be Mighty and Red. I don’t fucking know what it is, I just know that that hedgehog is getting on my fucking last nerve lmfao

and cuz of that it’s kinda like… like in order for me to ship something I gotta have something with both of the characters, y’know? And I don’t have that with Mephiles anymore. Or I do but it’s not as strong as it was, I don’t know.

anywho no Son/adow is the only Notp I really have and its because I reeeeeeeeeeeaally just don’t see it. Like I really really dont for a few reasons that i wont cover all of because I got a school paper due in an hour so gotta be quick here.

Really just Sonic has better options, a lot of em. Ignoring that he is 15 (probably???) and not interested in any pairing that isnt himself and going fast, and even lets say that that changes when he gets older and yet he doesnt go for amy which is the obvious option, he wouldn’t do shadow. he just wouldn’t. Real briefly the main argument I’ve seen in favor of that ship is that “Shadow can keep up with sonic so he doesnt have to give up runnin” KAY FIRSTLY RACING AND DATING ARE DIFFERENT THINGS LETS CLEAR THAT. Shadow’s personality type is a heck of a lot slower than Sonics in terms of personal connections; so no. Shadow cannot “keep up” with him.

...-But lets pretend for a moment that being fast IS what Sonic is looking for in a potential life partner. Now allow me to still refute that again with one simple name;
