My friend thinks he has a daughter out there and the mother denies that it could be his and just shuts him down but the timeline adds up and it looks more like him every day. If it is his daughter he just wants to help provide for her and be in her life because he doesnt want to be a deadbeat and he wants to give her love and be there for her and wants to help provide her with financial security but the mother has no interest in getting a paternity test or having him in the child’s life (she is bitter that their relationship didn’t work out and wants to have a closed family with her new partner).
He is autistic and wants his potential daughter to have access to testing and treatment if there is any chance she is his since autism is genetic. He has no money (but still wants to give everything he can to help support this child) so he can’t just get a lawyer. Hes not sure he can even afford the test. Are there any “mens rights” groups who could help hook him up with a pro bono lawyer or help him through the process of getting a court ordered paternity test so he can find out if he has a daughter?
