Shurima is often regarded as one of the most dangerous places on Runeterra. Many have sought to plunder the desert for riches, only to succumb to the harsh environment or, worse, the terrors that prowl them. Due to the extremely hostile environment, it is almost crucial for foreigners to hire guides... And Menam is happy to provide, for a price.

Menam’s origins are as mysterious as his true face. Some say he is hideously deformed and hides behind a mask, while others claim he charms with with the look and personality of a dashing young man. Whatever the case may be, he knows the sands like the back of his hand (or so he tells his clients), and runs a fairly profitable business to guide travelers as far as the Sai for a modest price.

What none suspect, however, is that he charges so little because he intend to ultimately take so much more. Menam sees the desert as his slaughterhouse, where he leads the unsuspecting out into the wasteland and kills them in their sleep. Oddly enough, he cares little for stealing their valuables; gold is the only object of interest to him, despite the fact he rarely ever even spends any of it.
