"I merely expected information. Not an escort taking you away from your city." Noelle replies, looking a bit humbled by this. "But I am grateful, sir."
She wasn't entirely certain how Targon fully fit into this, but the legends of the neigh-unscalable peaks were known, even to her. The diminutive mage was confident that it would be no easy task.
Picking up her bag, she nodded. "I am ready to depart whenever you are." She replied. One of the perks of already traveling was being packed already.
"Good. Then let us depart." Xerath turned and made his way out of the gate, followed by his entourage of acolytes. He'd made preparations already to ensure the city and his territory would be looked after and managed during his absence. It was hardly the first time the Magus had left for prolonged periods to attend to matters personally...
Beyond the gate was a mount as promised, though it was certainly no ordinary desert beast. In fact, the creature resembled a strange hybrid between a lizard and some sort of ape, with its overall anatomy being an unnatural mix of the two. If not for the saddle upon its back, one would hardly think it fit to be a mount.
"This creature has been specially designed to endure the harsh weather and slopes of Mount Targon. Hold fast to its reins and you will not fall." The Magus waited for Noelle to mount up, before he turned and began giving instructions to his acolytes.
