In between the last times Val was injured (cos we are made to suffer). At a Kovali venue with the men-ue. @thehxtshxt
The hem of her skirt was drifting higher and higher with the hand needling against her skin. She wasn’t quite tucked into his side, when her attention was caught between the target and the entryway just past the bar. Had propped herself up against the barstool so her knees were pressed near the counter. The disinterest only incentive for his pesky hands. It was almost time, and she’d have been lying, for once, to claim she wouldn’t be happy to see Val. The man she was with was called Robert, had made some sort of sexist joke about insisting she call him Rob, when she’d be stealing all his money, or something of the sort. If only he knew it was his dignity they were after. Not that he seemed to have much. She really wasn’t sorry this time. Having told him repeatedly she wasn’t interested (despite the fact she had been told to be), eventually shifting to how her boyfriend would be there any moment. It had deterred him only so much in seeing her as another man’s property, and then that inevitably drifted into challenge. As suspected. After that, she allowed him to buy her a drink. All part of the plan, but tiresome nonetheless. Apparently that allowed for the weight of his paw on her thigh.
The door opened and she flung herself from the stool. Robert might have been surprised by it, with the way his drink jostled to spill on his shirt. As though she had planned that as well, she dropped from the opposite side to him and avoided any incident. Skittering triumphantly across to her partner in crime, as she threw her arms around his neck. Leaned in to whisper, “He’s a nightmare.” before turning to a normal volume, “Baby, I’m so glad you made it. Come and get a drink.”
